I thought it was IAH? Looks like IAH Terminal A. Maybe I'm mistaken then, my bad.

But the hair color is close.... real close.

The caption in the story said Beamont. I hadn't seen either checkpoint before. Given that they got the jet/prop plane thing wrong, it's possible the caption's wrong too.

Don't know how far away Beaumont is from IAH ... perhaps they could borrow people from IAH?

Passengers are being screened as they head to an airplane. Happens all over the country thousands and thousands of times a day. Not sure what the big deal is.

HOLD IT!!!

I would pay money (several hundred actually) to watch this Kettle run her pouch through the x-ray machine.

Now, before any of you tree hugging-Peta supporting-Birkenstock wearing-vegan eating folks out there trying to flame me, just remember one thing…

I'm sick SOB and I am proud to admit (-;

I'm suprised there's even service BPT-IAH. I just Google mapped it, and appears closer from BPT to IAH then it is from my home to DTW. It might be the same distance TOL-DTW.

The lighting on the dog looks suspect to me. PhotoShop anyone?

I knew it was a fake. NOT possible that all five clerks would be working at the same time (even though one of them is only checking the dog's an@l glands for contraband).

My guess is that there are two reasons: first, Beaumont-Port Arthur-Orange is a big oil/industrial area (aka the 'golden triangle') so there may be some traffic due to that. Secondly, there isn't much east of BPT until your get to BTR, almost 200 miles away. So I'm guessing that BPT draws traffic mostly from east and north of the airport.

Also, you misunderestimate the typical small-town Texan's hatred of driving in anything resembling city traffic, much less the god-awful mess that is Houston. I had a conversation this evening with a woman who drives a postal jeep from Alice, TX to San Diego, TX, and she takes the 'back roads' to avoid traffic. :D

At one time, pre-TSA, Value-Jet ran a "connection" from Chattanooga to Atlanta by bus. As I remember it, at the Chattanooga airport one would get screened go to the gate and get on a bus, ride to the Atlanta airport, enter the terminal and go to ones connection. I seem to also remember it was abandoned because of traffic delays causing people to miss flights, the fact that it was easier to just drive to Atlanta, and that it did not save that much over flying out of Chattanooga on another carrier. It was long time ago and some of the details may be incorrect. The one about the bus is not.
