Positive TSA experience

I know this won't get reply's but my son & daughter & law had a positive experience at Clt B checkpoint. They aren't experienced & have a baby. He said the TSA folks helped them in every way. No nude 0 scopes were friendly & even tested the water for the baby formula & let them keep it.(As should be)

As you all should know I'm no TSA fan but a BIG ^ on this one.

How did they test the water?

Before or After all the Recent Negative Publicity?

Just wondered if they traveled before or after the 4 year old and 7 year old that were harassed. If afterwards then I think it's because they are being watched very closely by the flying public and can't afford much more bad publicity. If before -- then I'm impressed. MAYBE there is a turning point? Too much to hope for?

They went through just prior to my post. Haven't heard about the other.

Then that would be after the publicity. They'll be nice for a while, but it won't last.

Professional, decent performance from these people, and it's posted because it is noteworthy.

I disagree - water is a consumable item, and should never be "tested" or even touched by government agents whose jobs bring them into physical contact with hundreds of unsanitary pieces of luggage, among other typical items, every day.

An awful lot of luggage these days rolls on the floor. The floor is dirty. The luggage gets dirty when it rolls - or is set down upon - the floor. TSOs touch that filthy luggage - and then they want to touch or test water that's going to be used for making baby formula?

How many poisonous lawn chemicals are tracked onto that floor from peoples' shoes? How much dog feces?

How many bacterial and viral infections exist on the luggage of sick travelers who sneeze into their hands and then grab their luggage? TSOs handle those, too.

And we all know how often TSOs change their gloves at the c/p - not often enough.

Gee, now that I think of this, I may want to get a can of Lysol at my destination next time a travel and disinfect all of my luggage when I arrive!

I'm glad they had a positive experience. I hope we all have positive experiences, all the time.

It may be interesting to hear from others what specifically makes a positive experience. My list is:

1) Short to no wait.
2) No BS from the document checker, e.g. "name game"
3) WTMD without disrobing
4) No touching
5) No confiscation of property (excepting explosives and incendiaries -- I didn't include weapons because the list of weapons is arbirtary; anything can be used as a weapon)
6) No recording of information sufficient for identity theft
7) No theft
8) No BDO discussions
9) No waste of taxpayer money on things that don't work -- like NoS
10) No theater

As you may surmise, I never have a positive experience.

But the list of what constitutes a positive experience may vary by person. Feel free to add your own.
