A good feature
 

It would be nice to have a feature as part of the IFE system when Airshow displays the connecting gate info with a message showing the estimated wait time to clear customs and immigration.

Other monitors could be displayed along the way with the same information that is updated to show the wait time. There should be separate lanes for passengers with connecting flights or special needs for both citizens and aliens.

Or better yet open all lanes to everyone and take a ticket and sit in a waiting room and when your number is called go up to any open lane.

The US has the worst immi/customs set-up of any country I've ever travelled to, and that's alot! Disorganized, slow, rude officers and staff (not counting the few who are actually courteous and helpful), and basically ill-thought of planning.

It's a good idea but US airports probably wouldn't do it cos someone else thought of it and therefore it's unamerikan.
