Apparently liquid scanners are being tested in Europe too. Linky. Anyone come across them?

My contention is that they (or anyone else) could not transport, mix and successfully detonate such a liquid bomb without blowing themselves to bits.

TSA is not going to do away with liquid restrictions in this country until someone in this country makes a lot of money providing equipment to allow it.

Nappy has already pushed back at talk in the EU about easing restrictions on liquids. Japan has had some sort of liquid-testing equipment for some time now (saw it at work a few years ago). I believe the problem with both approaches is that no one in the US is getting rich off Japan's equipment or the EU's proposed relaxation of the rules.

Nappy and Pistole are hoping to fund their retirement programs.

And, in other news, the Chertoff Group announced that it has developed a device to test liquids for explosive characteristics...

Smiths Detection has had such a machine for a year or so

But since they're a Canadian company, there's no money to be made by U.S. Lobbyists.

Are you questioning American ingenuity, particularly that of the lobbyists? How un-patriotic of you! Full body-scan for Pesky Monkey, anal probe included.

Lucky Pesky Monkey, the US is still working on the Chertoff-certified anal probe, so he'll have to settle for a manual inspection.

I'm flying out to Vegas next Tuesday. I'll be properly lubed (in the bar) for my probe. :)

I would fully support probing lobbyists with the CN Tower.
