Man forces way onto SWA flight

How did he get past the vaunted document checker?

As for the TSA:

Quote:

The concern is how Jackson apparently got past the security checkpoint at Midway Tuesday night without showing any flight documents. In a statement, a Transportation Security Administration spokesperson would only say, “TSA is reviewing the incident and working with the Chicago Police Department on the investigation.”
and

Quote:

TSA officials have not responded to repeated requests to confirm whether Jackson went through Midway’s security checkpoint.

Chalk one more up for "say your name":rolleyes: And let's not forget that crack BDO team....:(

"TSA officials have not responded to repeated requests to confirm whether {Elvis} Jackson went through Midway’s security checkpoint."
An "Elvis has left the checkpoint" announcement would be sooooo much nicer than having all the TSOs chant "Code Bravo! Code Bravo! Code Bravo!"

And taking time to come up with the proper CYA statement

Quote:

“There’s been a surprising lack of communication as to what occurred,” said DePaul University transportation expert Joseph Schwieterman.

He said the TSA’s refusal to at least confirm if Jackson went through the checkpoint is unacceptable.

“It’s been enough hours now that details should be out there,” Schwieterman said. “I mean, people have a right to know why something this … simple occurred in a high security situation.”
The TSA needs more than 8 hours to circle the wagons

If he did go thru the checkpoint without a bp and appropriate I/D, that is a problem in its own right but if he didn't, I for one would like to know how he got into the insecure area

One has to wonder (at least I do) what new punishment TSA will come up with for all of us normal travellers as a result of this incident.:mad:

I expect to see massive ID checks in the near future. If this happens, my response every time will be "I am NOT Elvis Jackson"

Going through the checkpoint with no 'papers' is not a security threat. Bypassing screening entirely is, however.

TSA core competency; again.

Right. He have to get his boarding pass & ID before enter the security. He did not show his boarding pass to TSA.

Well, the TSA is currently pushing for $$$$$ so that they can by fancy BP scanners. What convenient timing for such an event to occur.
