T1 is somewhat bearable. Transferring, and T3 and T5 are just dismal....

No problem bringing a 16 inch Phillipe Starke lemon squeezer with 3 legs through security at CDG, We were flying CDG to LHR on Air France, plus as my son pointed out, at least being France we spoke the language unlike the US where TSA speak is a foreign language :D

I may have been a little harsh on the OP, but I will admit that I was a little peeved by the 'we don't do that in the US' type comment.

I happened to fly from a French airport this weekend, and in my usual path through the airport to the gate I counted no less than five signs which showed scissors and forks as being not permitted. So much for the language barrier.

However, this thread does serve as a good reminder that countries do have different rules, and one should not rely on the rules in one country being applicable in another. For instance, when I am asked about flying with an epipen in the EU I always recommend downloading the form on the Anapen website.
