Whatever happened to the TAS guy who hit anoter TSA agent over the size of his junk?

I seem to recall reading about a male TSA agent who hit his fellow co-worker. The co-worker made some comments about the size of the size of this guy's junk on the NoS during training.

Whatever happened to him? Was he fired/prosecuted/jailed?

Quick Googling tells all.

The TSA agent charged with assaulting a coworker who teased him about the size of his penis after it was exposed by a full-body scanner reached a plea agreement, reports The Smoking Gun.

Rolando Negrin, who was accused of striking fellow Transportation Security Administration employee Hugo Osorno with a police baton while demanding an apology, has agreed to attend anger management classes and write a letter of apology to Osorno.

The 46-year-old Miami resident must also perform 50 hours of community service and make a $100 charitable donation to Do The Right Thing of Miami in order to comply with the terms of a pre-trial program, which if completed, will dismiss the felony battery case, reports TSG.

According to the police report from the incident in May, Negrin told investigators that he "could not take the jokes anymore and lost his mind."

[On the other hand, if we believe TSA, the crotch area of the image is obscured as is the facial area. While they would know it was him, if the crotch area was obscured, and the images are "family friendly" then there wasn't anything able to be viewed to tease the agent about, right? /sarc Oh, this is all so confusing, the TSA doesn't lie. /end sarc]

One thing's for sure... the 61-year-old woman who grabbed the TSA agent's breasts will NOT get off with community service and $100 fine!

Actually, I recall that prosecutors dropped the charges.

Perhaps the DA (and possibly the TSA) didn't want the publicity of 12 (or 6) citizens deciding that the TSO deserved it lest the rest of citizens think it is open season on TSOs . . .

They never actually said that. They said they would blur the face and let people infer that they would blur the crotch. And it worked; numerous journalists and congress-critters have stated with confidence that "private regions" are blurred by the NoS.

And look at the images. No blurring except the face.

The DA dropped the initial felony charge she was arrested for. They are still considering other charges at the misdemeanor level.

Actually, as it stands now, she is not even facing any charges. They were dropped. That gives some hope that it's now "open season" on groper goons.

And, of course, his colleagues, whose unprofessional behavior provoked him to violence ... what will happen to them?

Considering it does not look like she will be charged with anything at all, it is probably a good guess she will not get community service or a fine.

I can see TSA screeners turning on their own agency if one or two more of these (inevitable) physical responses from passengers go unchecked.

Two other possiblities:

1) TSA will wait a while until the news dies down and they have a hot new 'puppy post' lined up. Then late on a Friday afternoon, months from now, either the city will file misdemeanor charges against her or (is there anything equivalent to 'statute of limitations' with TSA fines?) TSA will levy a hefty administrative fine.

2) The initial reports were incorrect. The TSO did crowd the woman's space and when Miyamae reacted by putting up a hand, she touched the TSO. An indignant TSO may have 'embroidered' a bit. Tapes might show something different (in which case, they have already been disappeared or edited, just like Stacy Amatos' tapes) or (shock!) there was an ethical individual in the group that surrounded her who refuses to lie about what happened.

At the very least, like Stacy Amato, her future flying experiences are likely to be grim. I'm sure she will be 'randomly' selected for the rest of her flying days.

Nope, not gonna happen.

TSOs will take their anger out on pax. I expect to see increased harassment of folks taking photos/videos or trying to witness what is going on. I do not expect better management efforts from TSA.
