I somehow suspect once something gets into government files, they never disappear. They may get hidden but I suspect they're still there somewhere. And these databases of governments that collaborate just mine through everything. Once on it, you're as good having the fix in.

Given that many countries' criminal justice system personnel have had persons arrested and/or convicted for essentially non-violent political reasons, one country buying into another country's claim about persons, -- domestic or foreign -- has opened the door to all sorts of harassment of people for "crimes" that are little more than the crime of not being "in favor" of those who run the show in some country or others who are politically in-favor of the relevant authority/authorities.
The future looks to be more ugly than the past in this regard. |
