Sen Kerry (MA) and Rep Markey (MA) via phone and email through website. Staffers on phone were polite and promised to relay my concerns to the Congressperson. No response yet via email. Letters going in the mail this week.

I have written to my representative, Rush Holt (NJ), at least three times and received no response whatsoever. Incidentally, Holt is former deputy director of the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory and a long-ago 5-time winner on Jeopardy! He's a very, very smart guy who apparently has his head in the sand. Typical, unfortunately.

I contacted Senator Claire McCaskill of MO, but it didn't do any good, as you can tell from her comments today she calls them "love pats".

I have written physical letters for Heller (R-NV), Reid (D-NV), and Ensign (R-NV). I have an ex-girlfriend who used to work for a Senator's office and she said that physical letters in the mail are generally given more weight than e-mailed letters. I mailed the letters yesterday, so I haven't heard anything back yet.

Duncan used his one minute today on the house floor to speak out against the TSA. I called his office and said thanks and I am not one of his constituents.

I called a bunch of the Senators offices yesterday who all sit on the Senate Transportation Committee. I will listen to their remarks on C-Span:

Me too. I'm going to call her office about this comment. Disgusting.

E-mailed Senator Burr (R-NC), Senator Hagan (D-NC) and Rep. David Price (D-4th District NC) about 2 weeks ago.

I received a phone call from Sen. Burr's office in DC but have not been able to follow up due to work responsibilities. Dead silence from the other 2.

Have emailed Rep. Betty Sutton, Sen. Sharrod Brown and Sen. George Voinovich through their contact forms. I will also be writing paper letters when I get back home - those carry more weight I have been told.

Contacted Senators Boxer & Feinstein. No response yet from either.

I also contacted CA Rep Duncan Hunter. He did reply with his support of the earlier House bill but did not address the pat down aspect of my letter. Sent new letter urging support of Ron Paul's bill.

contacted White House

update: composed letters for my mom to send to WA Senators Murray & Cantwell.

Hutchison, Cornyn and Sam Johnson. Haven't heard from Cornyn and Johnson, but i got a canned "anything for security" response similar to what other here have gotten from here. Faxed in a response and haven't heard anything yet.
