Chase Rewards Plus
 

With all the discussion around Chase changing card benefits, I was waiting to see what happened when my old Chase Rewards Plus (5 points for GGD) card came up for renewal. It was a pleasant surprise this week to see the card renewed with the same T&Cs through 2012.

When you say the T&C is through 2012, are you referring to the expiry date on the card itself?

I know people have had their rewards changed prior to the expiration date of the cards; so I wouldn't necessarily assume a 2012 expiry on your CC to mean that they won't convert your card and rewards prior to then.

Unfortunately, I know this to be the case also.

Can you please point at where these T&C are spelled out as not changing through 2012??? :confused:

One of us (though not myself) has received a letter, and at least two of us have been told by phone agents, that 5 points for GGD is going away as of July 1, as recently as a week or so ago:

The website is not updated yet. It tells me I earn 5 points per GGD now, but tells me nothing about how long that's going to last. (Agents tell me only for another 10 days!)

Even if the Terms & Conditions say through 2012, they could probably change it with 60 days notice anyway, they always have an "out"!
