Unique AU Account Numbers

Chase now offers unique account numbers for each AU. Does anyone know how to trigger this on your account?

While this is a welcome addition, I think for most couples (i.e. one primary user and a potential authorized user), getting two separate accounts is a better value with the CSR than paying the new AU fee (both situations would result in unique card numbers).

Card + AU = $990 ($795 + $195) - $300 travel credit = $690 before any other more situational or less-easily-used credits
Two cards = $1590 ($795 + $795) - $300x2 travel credits = $990 before any other more situational or less-easily-used credits.

So it's effectively a $300 difference than you need to make up somehow with access to double the number/amount of other credits.
ETA: Also each person gets IHG status FWIW.

Since Chase is only offering the individual Apple Music subscription (Apple TV+ can be shared through family sharing), this also pairs well with separate cards, as each person gets their own subscription. You can also split the check at that expense Chase Sapphire Reserve dining table to get both dining credits at one time. One of you orders the Lyft one direction, the other on the way back, etc. Some of the credits (such as the Edit credit) would be harder to utilize together at the same time, but it's still doable. It also provides a little more protection while traveling because if there is a problem with one person's account, both cards are not shut down at the same time.

This of course assumes both people can be approved, and that you aren't chasing the (IMO) lackluster benefits available at $75k in spend on a single account.

appleone family plan is 25.95 and it includes TV+, music and 200gb of cloud. it costs 311.4 yearly, and this limits the value of the apple credits. with chase, they miss out on 200gb of icloud, which is 2.99 monthly or 35.88 yearly. so if a couple have 2 csr, then the max value of the apple credit is on average 137.76 per pax

in contrast, appleone for individuals is 19.95 or 239.4 yearly. he/she misses out on 50gb of icloud which is 0.99 monthly or 11.88 yearly. so the max value of the apple credit is 227.52 per pax

therefore, imo, value of apple credit actually falls when having 2 csr

I probably shouldn't have provided so much detail in that post under this thread, because I don't want to derail this thread with discussions on the value of individual credits on the card, only to point out that there are multiple paths to take to get two separate card numbers and each person (in particular couples) should evaluate both options.

I'm happy to have a friendly debate on this topic back on the other thread though, so I'll post my response there.

I asked about this on Secure Message and was told it is only for new or re-issued CSR, but will roll out more widely in the future. No information offered on which cards or when but did say there is no other way for existing accounts to get unique AU yet.
