Sharing an update here: It took one month for the banker I met at the new San Francisco financial center to get back to me. On a call last Friday, she said she went "back and forth with the back office" and wasn't able to help with the JP Morgan Reserve card. Similarly, because I was happy with my current team, we both agreed it made sense for me not to work with her.
I'm confident no one knows about the card or the differentiation or unique value proposition of the JP Morgan Private Client program. I'm debating whether I want to reach out to a JP Morgan Wealth Partners team in San Francisco. As fishfood mentioned, I'm not sure the card is worth it, although the hidden trade line and United Club membership would have been great. |

I wish they just rolled this out as a higher tier of CPC where you don't have to jump through hoops to get more benefits. As it stands now it is questionable if you are strictly better off with JPMPC vis-a-vis CPC despite having to park significantly more assets at Chase. I understand they are trying to extract more values from these higher net worth clients, but what they offer in return is too little.

Sure, but as the customer, it seems a hard pill to swallow when you have to park more money with them *and* take a hit with management fees (plus unnecessary interactions with these advisors) for the added benefits. Chases thinks too much of itself to believe people are willing to do *both* for just (possibly) the JPM Reserve card.
JPM Reserve would be nice if I can park some index EFTs there to get one, but Chase is not interested in offering it. LAX |
Has anyone successfully gotten the JP Morgan Reserve card through this?

I'm also curious if anyone has been able to do this. I have enough to qualify for JPM PC but not nearly enough for the published Wealth Partners or PB minimums.

Currently in the CPC program, transferred low 7 figures to Chase about 2 months ago in a self directed account. Nothing from Chase re JPMPC. Sounds like access to JPMPC is at the discretion of the bank versus automatic when achieving the $750k threshold? I’m not in a First Republic region, so I wonder if that’s one of the reasons. |

Someone at JPM told me that if you are enrolled in CPC and you increase your assets over the $750k Minimum, you will automatically be converted to JPMPC. It can take up to a month, but you can contact them and expedite the process.

I doubt this is true unless this happened in the last few weeks. I had 7 figures in my CPC account for several months and was not automatically upgraded. I was interested in JPMPC but my CPC banker could not tell me how to sign up. I ended up transferring it out.
I got the feeling that JPMPC is not fully integrated into the JPM side or that this is just a Chase retail product masked as JPM. |

The upgrade is definitely not automatic, and they really have no clue. |

This is what the JPMPC Manager told me. I could have been recently implemented.

My sense is that Chase got out over their skis on this product. Rather than just converting the First Republic customers behind the scenes, and then rolling out a mature product later, they chose to launch something half baked. Foolish considering the customer base they’re targeting.
