Chase Auto-Redeemed 244k UR Points
 

After having the Ink Plus on auto-pay for 7 years straight -- last month, Chase "decided" (I put in quotes because I have no idea what happened) to auto-redeem my points to pay for statement. 244,000+ points on April 12th and then another 500 points on April 29th (Mind you, the statement balance was only $900). I called Chase about it and they started this whole fraud thing - new card, new login, added verbal password.
A week later, I get a call - after some investigation they conclude - "it's not fraud because you got a statement credit." And basically, have a good day.

Anybody else have this happen? How do you stop auto-redemptions? Do I have a chance of getting my points back?

i think best you can do is put in a CFPB complaint.
