Chase Snailmail Letters About Emails Bouncing
Am I the only one who gets these?
Probably five times a year I get a letter from Chase telling me that an email they sent to me was "returned undelivered." The email notifying you that your statement was viewable online was returned undelivered. But I can't figure out why this is happening at all. I'm using Gmail. Now I am using it with a private domain name, but it's still Gmail! Google deals with all of this. And no other person or company EVER complains that my email address bounces-back to them. I just don't get it, but if it's happening to others, then I'll just conclude that Chase is doing something strange on their end. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...ba230964d.jpeg Here's the full text of the letter: We weren't able to notify you by email that your online statement was ready to view. Our email message was returned undelivered. Please check your email address and mailbox settings

Yeah.. I got these letters every other month on my business cards.
I just ignore them. I thought the reason I got these letters is because I have a "-" in my email address. |
I have gotten these in the past. Since I get plenty of emails from Chase and other banks to my designated banking email, I know it’s generally working, and my other email addresses (same domain) don’t have any issues either. I suspect it’s Chase that has the problem.

I usually get one of these for most accounts when I first set them up and then occasionally after that. Annoying and can't figure out any real pattern for why they recur.

I get these notices too and I also run my own domain through Google Enterprise and have a catch-all setup too.
Safe to ignore and make sure you know when your accounts are due. |
I get them randomly. Always with a business card, for some reason. They seemed to stop once I switched from hotmail to Gmail.

That's interesting. I do think this only happens on my business cards also.

I am getting these on my business cards as well. Called Chase a couple of times and they couldn't really explain it.
|
I have this occur on 1 of my 4 business cards. Haven't been able to get it fixed. I have tried changing the email and calling Chase; all to no avail. Finally just gave up and let them waste their letter every month.
|
Yup, I seen these with my Ink cards. This seem to work as I haven't gotten any lately: remove paperless statement, wait a few days and add back paperless statement.
|
Just googled this as I just got my fourth one in the last two months. Ours are all on Chase INK cards on both mine and P2's accounts.
|
Likewise. My email works, and no idea what's up with these letters.
|
The other day I got a popup when logging into my Chase business account, telling me that emails from my Ink account had bounced, and to confirm that they had the right email address. The address they displayed was correct, and I receive emails from all credit card companies incl. Chase at that address.

Think Chase will ever figure out that they have a problem here?
I wonder if the amount of mail they have to send out on this subject has them puzzled at all. |
