Merchants in the gas stations category sell automotive gasoline that can be paid for either at the pump or inside the station and may or may not sell other goods or services at their location. Merchants that do not specialize in selling automotive gasoline are not included in this category; for example, truck stops, boat marinas, oil and propane distributors, and home heating companies.

Merchants in the car rental agencies category rent vehicles for the purpose of driver and passenger transportation. Car rentals not booked directly with the car rental agency will not qualify; for example, car rentals purchased through travel agencies, discount travel sites, vacation clubs, tour operators, or as part of a package offered by merchants such as cruise lines and railways. Merchants that provide RV rentals or vehicle rentals for the purpose of hauling are not included in this category. Qualifying car rental agency purchases made through Chase Ultimate Rewards will only earn a total of 5%.

Merchants in the movie theaters category show motion pictures to an audience, including at drive-in theaters. Theaters that provide live entertainment and merchants that sell and rent movies or provide movie subscription or streaming services are not included in this category. Purchases other than your tickets will not be included in the category unless they classify as a movie theater; for example, in theatre dining, food and beverage, or merchandise purchases.

Merchants in the Select Live Entertainment category sell tickets for in-person entertainment such as major sporting events, zoos and aquariums, concerts, theatrical productions, museums, tourist attractions and exhibits, amusement parks, circuses, carnivals, bands, and entertainers. Ticket agencies selling on behalf of the entertainment venue are included. Some merchants that sell tickets for in-person entertainment are not included in this category; for example, movie theaters, bowling alleys, horse racing tracks, casinos, and dance hall/clubs. Purchasing from a hotel/concierge is not included nor excursions or purchases as part of a travel package.

That's great! There should be so many NHL games to choose from.

Beware of museum shops

Although museums are included in the Live Entertainment category in Q3, not all museum spending is coded the same way. I bought limited edition prints from a small museum, and the purchase coded as a donation.

Any Data Pointers which Gas Stations are allowing to buy VGC using CF CC? I tried 7/11, QT. They are asking for cash or debit card to purchase VGC.

Any idea if Las Vegas shows tickets purchased online directly from MGM qualify for the 5x?

In my experience its location by location, not by the chain. The more expensive the area, the more likely they will take a card without any issues

All depends on how MGM bills its and where you buy it. If it comes from the box office probably fine, but if you buy it from a casino relationships department it might not

Right. I'll be purchasing retail tickets online directly from MGM. No comps/casino involved.

I clicked through the Buy Tickets link on a random assortment of shows. All were redirected to another URL.

Some are a different MGM site, like this: https://mirage.mgmresorts.com/en/boo...#/show-listing

Some are axs.com: https://www.axs.com/events

Some are Ticketmaster.

The AXS and Ticketmaster booking should qualify. I don't see any way to know if MGM uses a separate merchant account for the tickets sold from their own URL. This might be evident as you get further into the transaction if the URL changes again.

Thanks for the efforts. I'm looking at tickets for Shin Lim, which does not redirect to a different site. Site: https://www.mgmresorts.com/en/bookin...servation.html is where payment info is submitted and placed (when booking in a private browser).

I guess I'll take a chance and be a DP.

Looks like you can buy them directly through ticketmaster, unless there is a reason not to https://www.ticketmaster.com/shin-li...artist/2560538

I looked into Ticketmaster but tickets were more expensive with less availability. Thanks though.

Tix 4 Tonight in Las Vegas booths appear to code correctly, but you need to do those when you are there and again, unsure on pricing.

This might not matter to many here, but Legoland is a theme park MCC also (tickets bought online).
