Purchase points at $.0132?
If I can get Chase points for $.0132 would that be considered a "good" deal?
I suppose it comes down to high I ultimately use them? Thanks |

UR points? I could currently get $0.015 in value out of them (Pay Myself Back) with my CSR with zero effort, so while the gain is small, I would be a buyer if it was easy/safe. It would probably also not hard to get good value out of transfers if you happen to have travel plans.
Occasionally I'll run into a Motley Fool buy deal (via the Chase shopping portal) where for $99 dollars you can get 7,500 points. |

Considering that many people essentially routinely "buy", even speculatively, all varieties of miles and points for ~$0.02 by way of CC tax payments, it might very well "be considered a "good" deal" to buy them at $0.0132. Personally, if I didn't currently have a high 6 figure UR balance I'd consider it.

My goal is to have a 7 figure balance by end of the year. Getting really close.

It’s good to have goals. Although, the prevailing majority opinion, which I do not share, is that saving or banking points and miles for future use is unwise (due to frequent “devaluations”) in favor of ”earn and burn.” Unfortunately, sometimes these days a seven-figure balance is required for a specific award.

With a similar example, I paid a couple months of rent through my building's portal using my Ink Unlimited for 1.5x. I was charged a fee of I believe 2.5% to use a credit card. I justified this as me buying UR at approx. 1.6 cents per, which I knew I would regularly be able to redeem at higher value.

Indeed, you're getting really close to eyes on your account.

You have no way of actually knowing this since you don't know his history with Chase.
If it's Chase becoming suspicious... all my earnings have been legit earnings. Transfers from my business account, maxing out the quarterly spend on the Freedom cards. Using the CSR for 3x purchases. all legit and above board. |

I'm not really sure what he means....
The notion is that a "large" rewards account balance will attract an audit. |
