Chase has taken all my husband's points away! (Missed payment.)

Hi there, my husband has had a Chase credit card for many years, and had built up circa 150,000 points. When he checked his account yesterday, the points had been wiped. He rang in and was told that Chase wipes points in the event one payment is slightly late. Is this true? Has this happened to anyone else? My husband is utterly distraught about this, any advice extremely welcome! Thanks. 1K

What does the Ultimate Rewards activity show when you log into the account? Was the account completely shut down?

Chase doesn't confiscate points because of a late payment.

It is in terms and conditions, no minimum payment for 60 days.

How you could lose your points
• Your points don’t expire as long as your account is open,
however, you’ll immediately lose all your points if your
account status changes, or your account is closed, for any
of the following reasons:
› you don’t make at least the minimum payment on your
account within 60 days of the due date
› you fail to comply with this or other agreements you have
with Chase

Internet headline: billion dollar corporation steals money from poor couple falling on hard times

Real story: point redemptions suspended until customer pays 90 day late bill
