The Ritz-Carlton Rewards VISA Infinite card was closed for applications in July 2018. The only way to obtain the Ritz card now is to Product Change from a Chase Bonvoy Bountiful or Boundless card, which must be open for a full year to be eligible for Product Change. Upgrades from free Chase Bonvoy Bold will not succeed UNLESS (a) the Bold card was obtained as a downgrade from another Chase Bonvoy card, (b) Or if you convert Bold to Boundless or Bountiful before switching once more to Ritz-Carlton within a few days of the product change (reports here)

Southwest Airlines GCs work fairly easily. I've generally bought them for $150 and said they're excess baggage fees.
AS upgrades from coach to premium coach or first work.

I had problems doing so from 2015 to 2017, and did not want to lie.

Hi,
I have had the ritz card for 10 years and had a couple questions if someone can help. Haven't travelled much last couple years due to Covid.
1. I upgraded a relatives flight last May just to use the credit since I wasn't flying anywhere in 2022. I forgot the credit isn't automatic and did not manually request it until now. I am being told I can only request credit for the last 4 billing cycles and they can't go back further than that. Is that true? Any way to get the credit from May 2022?
2. I just received a new set of cards this month. I have always had the metal cards and the new cards are plastic. Did they get rid of the metal cards entirely or is there still a way to get it?

Here are the T&C for the $300 credit:To request a statement credit to apply towards qualifying airline incidental purchase(s) made with your Ritz-Carlton Credit Card, you must contact J.P. Morgan Priority Services at the number on the back of your Ritz-Carlton Credit Card within 4 billing cycles of the purchase date. Only the following types of non-ticket purchases qualify for this offer: airline lounge day pass, or towards a yearly lounge membership of your choice; airline seat upgrades; airline baggage fees; in-flight Internet/entertainment; in-flight meals. Purchases are when you, or an authorized user, use a Ritz-Carlton credit card to make purchases of products and services, minus returns or refunds. Buying products and services with your card, in most cases, will count as a purchase; however, the following types of transactions won’t count and won’t earn points: balance transfers, cash advances, travelers checks, foreign currency, money orders, wire transfers or similar cash-like transactions, lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, race track wagers or similar betting transactions, any checks that access your account, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, and fees of any kind, including an annual fee, if applicable. We do not determine whether merchants correctly identify and bill transactions as being of a certain type. However, we do reserve the right to determine which purchases qualify for statement credits. Statement credit will post to your account within 5-7 business days and will appear on your monthly credit card billing statement within 1-2 billing cycles. Qualifying purchases made by authorized users on your account are eligible for statement credits; however, only the obligor on the account, not authorized users, may request statement credits. Maximum statement credit accumulation for this offer is $300 per calendar year. Annual credit will be issued for the calendar year in which the transaction posts to your account. For example, if you pay baggage fees at the end of 2018, and the airline does not post the transaction until 2019, the cost of the baggage fees will be allocated towards your 2019 calendar year maximum of $300. Marriott Bonvoy is not responsible for offer fulfillment or the provision of or a failure to provide the stated benefits and services.

I guess you could request one and be told no. They haven't made the old heavy metal card in at least a couple years.

I've kept both the RC and Boundless cards for some time now. Since points earning is similar on both, my main reason for keeping Boundless active is the FNC which I believe more than pays for the $95 AF. As LTT, I don't need elite night credits. Is there any downside to dropping the Boundless in my situation, other than being out a 35k FNC?

I received the 5x 50k FNC bonus but I don’t have plat status and my nights will expire in august so I have to get moving… any thoughts on getting plat status or should I just stay at any number of the growing number of Marriott chains that don’t offer bft to use the cc.
