Sorry I haven’t read all of the posts. Does online grocery count for regular grocery stores (in my case, Shop Rite) when you pay online and then do pick up? Is the “online grocery” specialty online only stores or any grocery store that allows online payment (either pick up in person paying online or home delivery paying online)?

Right now trying to reevaluate my CC needs and with 3x “online grocery”, if it fits my needs, and 3x dining the card has become more compelling at $95.

The CSP webpage does include pickups.

any experience with cancelling a hotel booking after the $50 hotel credit posts?

1) $50 hotel credit remains
2) $50 hotel credit is clawed back and is available for use again on a new booking
3) $50 hotel credit is clawed back and is not available for use again on a new booking

Any pictures of the card back? I'm curious if Chase started using that new design from the survey last year.

Chase Sapphire Preferred: 5x travel booking, $50 hotel credit experiences

A couple of weeks ago, I booked a hotel room on Chase travel, expecting to get 5x points and a $50 hotel credit (my card anniversaried before I booked, so I am eligible for the credit). As of now, I don't see any enhanced earnings (I see the standard 2x earnings in my pending points for the hotel purchase) and I don't see any $50 credit. Has anyone successfully received either of these benefits yet?

I have only received 2x points on travel purchases, the last of which was 9/17. I did, however, receive a $50 hotel credit on 9/24, and have been receiving 3x on online grocery purchases (another one of the new benefits) since 9/21.

I'm not sure what's going on since I got my card on 9/8 (right after the new benefits were announced), but it's a bummer since I booked over $1000 worth of hotels through Chase since then only for the 5x points. (I wouldn't have otherwise since Chase bookings require prepayment, whereas Expedia ones typically don't unless they're nonrefundable.)

1) I was able to find the 3x extra points on hotel purchases. If you go "Rewards Activity" then scroll down to "Your most recent activity," there is section I see called "Bonus on Ultimate Rewards travel" which shows that I got 3x points on a hotel booking, and the points will be available after a certain date.

2) How far after booking did you receive the hotel credit? I booked a hotel via Chase travel on 9/23 and have yet to receive the $50

Thanks, I do see that now - in that case I did get the 3x bonus (5x total) on my Chase travel bookings.

I'm not sure which hotel booking counted for the bonus - possibly my VRBO (8/20, if VRBO is considered a hotel charge), possibly my Chase travel booking (8/21, but these transactions don't say whether they're hotel, air, rental car, etc.), or possibly 9/6. Credit appeared on 9/24, so it looks like it can take up to a month.

I booked a couple of hotel stays on Chase Travel using my CSP. Normally I try to avoid Expedia due previous bad experiences, but those were cheap stays that I would have booked with an OTA anyway, so I might as well book it with chase for the 5x UR.

Anyway, today I received a $50 credit for "ANNUAL HOTEL CREDIT". I signed up for the CSP during the 100K bonus promotion and was very surprised to get the credit. The benefit description is very specific that the benefit will be applied after the next anniversary, but apparently not. I signed up for the CSP before the benefit was introduced, so I was only expecting to get it next year. Obviously I'm not complaining, my effective annual fee is now $45.

I got it too and I also signed up before it was announced. Can't complain.

CSP on dining = 3.75% back through PYB or chase travel portal (or more with transfer partners)
Costco = 3% CB

There are other 3% CB dining cards with no FTF, AF, or requirement to buy a $60/year Costco membership like the C1 SavorOne. But the CSP outearns all of them.

For me, UR is strictly a Hyatt machine and I value Hyatt points (with lack of liquidity, willingness to pay, etc factored in) conservatively at 1.5 cents each.
In fairness, the Citi Premier earns 3x on dining for $95 and with the Rewards Plus actually earns 3.3x (up to 100k pts/redeemed a year). You can also earn 5x - 5.5x on dining with the Custom Cash card with that pesky $500/mo limit though.

Theres also the US Bank Altitude Go which is 4% cashback and no AF or FTF.

Citi Premier is a good card. Different people will value TYP and UR differently (probably for a different thread). I didn't know about the US Bank Altitude Go. Thanks for the info. That is probably the best no AF card for dining. With the streaming credit, it's more like a negative effective AF.

Apologies if this has already been asked, but I couldn't find it. Is the $50 hotel credit available if you've had the card less than a year? I opened a card earlier this year before the credit was announced. TIA.
