False Itinerary Update Notifications?
I booked an international summer trip months ago with available inventory- tickets on AA- through the rewards portal. Of course, since then, the airline has been updating it's international schedule due to lagging demand and I've had several notifications from Chase- including the cancellation of the return flight on AA FCO-ORD. I was able to successfully have AA re-issue a new routing to get home. Today I received another notification about the outbound trip (ORD-LHR) that had cancelled, however, according to the AA website, google flights, and my very own record, the flight is still bookable for sale and I can still view the AA record on their website with seat assignments and everything. So all seems well...still the chase notification lists the flight as cancelled. I think this is probably a chase system glitch and must result from previous flights on the same record cancelling and being rescheduled in the last several days. Also, when it sends me an update it shows several seat assignments (ones I've selected and moved around) I think there must be a lapse in how the AA system communicates with chase and then the automation must push that to my email.
