Depends on what cards you have and how long you've had them for. The SUB terms are pretty clear. If you are still confused take a look at a chart like this https://thepointsguy.com/credit-card...-bonvoy-cards/

Fast forward a week later and it's become obvious that my Chase and Marriott accounts are not linked, despite the fact that I provided a Chase telephone customer service rep with my Bonvoy account number a few days ago.

Why do I think the accounts are not linked? The annual 15 elite night credits associated with the card have not yet posted, the Marriott rewards "dashboard" in my Chase account is devoid of information (supposed to show elite nights and current Bonvoy points available.....does not.)

I suspect the disconnect is because my Bonvoy account is my (first name, last name) and - for whatever reason - Chase issued my credit card as (Mr first initial, middle initial, last name.)

I've called both Chase and Marriott but neither seems to know what to do. Any suggestions?
Update (issue resolved.)

After several weeks of phone calls, I've finally resolved the situation above (without having to file a CFPB complaint!)

First, Chase sent me a form to fill out that requested they change the name on my card. I requested the name be changed to match what was on my Marriott account.

While this did happen, Chase also changed the name on every single Chase credit card I own, so I received a slew of new cards in the mail, lol.

Unfortunately, this did not resolve the situation so I ended up speaking with a trio of credit card "supervisors" in various calls.....one supervisor finally discovered that in the Chase IT "background" (i.e., not visible to us on the "retail side") Chase had inadvertently added two digits to my zip code. Two digits that didn't belong and thus created a mismatch with my Bonvoy account.

Once this was rectified, the accounts linked up. But.....I still had not received my 15 elite night credits. That's when I called Marriott back and asked them to research why I had not received my 15 elite night credits for the credit card. Two days later, I had them in my account.

Overall, somewhere between 10-15 different phone calls, 5 or so secure messages (useless, don't bother), but persistence paid off.

In my experience Amex nights show up after 2 days and Chase takes 7. Until they could sync your accounts they couldnt get you the nights...so it makes sense that it was delayed

I just got approved for the Boundless card with the five free 50,000 points certificates offer.

It says if I spend $35,000 in a year I get upgraded from silver to gold status.

Does anyone know how long that is good for or when it would expire?

How long does it take after sprnding the $35,000 for the upgrade to gold to occur?

Would it matter, if ,for example, I qualify during the last week of December? Could that trigger me being upgraded to gold in early 2024 and then the Gold status running later like all through 2025?

Me, Id wait until the start of month 25 (in your case, October) absent a truly compelling need to apply earlier.
To give an update to this, I did have a compelling need to apply earlier (hefty spend later this month) so I was the DP I wanted to see. Applied at exactly 731 days after receiving the bonus on the Amex Brilliant per my Bonvoy Account and was approved instantly. The 5 50k nights are going to be great.

Thanks for the DP. Any speculation on how the recent Brilliant SUB will be treated given that it was split between traditional spend $6k get 150k points AND stay 6 nights get 50k points?

I am plotting a future chase card for sub. I got hyatt business in July 2023. I am considering this and IHG, both as personal cards with Chase. Both have decent sub etc. Any preference? Most importantly is this okay or do I need to wait since its chase? I assume business and personal are totally separate categories.

it all depends on when you card before July was. If nothing else in the past 6 months it's probably fine.

I love both the IHG and Marriott cards. It all depends on which chain you think you'll get more value from

I have had my current Boundless card for >2 years. If I cancel this card right now, how long should I wait to re-apply for the Boundless card?

I waited 30 days last year based on what I read here or elsewhere.

You havent provided enough information. The two-year cooling-off period is measured from the date of last SUB, not from card issuance.
