IMO this is still a poor deal given that IHG is now selling its points @ $5 per K directly, or $6 per K via Points & Cash. So this deal gets you a measly $8.00--9.60 per K Sapphire points.
But it could be interesting for a small top-off or somebody desperate to get rid of their last Sapphire points.
