Ditch Wells Fargo Cash Back for Chase Freedom Unlimited?
For some time, I've been using my BofA Cash Back credit card. Realizing how much I was leaving on the table, I ended up opening up a Chase Sapphire Reserve last month and will be getting my 50K point bonus by the end of October. I will be using the Sapphire only when booking my work trips and taking clients out to lunch/dinner to take advantage of the 3x multiplier for that card.
Now, for everyday use, people recommended that I go with the Chase Unlimited which is going to be 1.5% cash back on everything and people said you can transfer those to your Chase Sapphire Reserve.
So the question is this. Should I open a Chase Freedom and Chase Freedom Unlimited card and use the Chase Freedom only up to the $1,500 for the quarterly 5% bonus category and then switching to Chase Freedom Unlimited or is it not worth the hassle? Right now, my Wells Fargo Cash Back has 3% on select category (typically Online Shopping), 2% on grocery stores and 1% everything else. The limit is $2,500 per quarter on all the categories and then 1% going forward.
