Biz Cards - Sole Prop, or use Old Company EIN?

Have had various Chase (and other) Biz cards over the years. Some were with real companies that are no longer in business, but used the old EIN. A few times I got a call from CC company asking for company details which I gave them (though old).

I know lots of folks have done well getting cards as sole proprietor. I do have some business dealings (minimal) I could come up with.

Which one do folks think will get approved the easiest?

Personally at 3/24 and looking to get WN Biz Card this week. Have three other personal Chase cards right now.

Sole proprietor. List your business name as first name last name. (Don't invent a business name or provide a business name for which you don't already have supporting documentation.)

Whatever you do, do not seek credit in the name of a company no longer doing business or use an EIN for Company 1 which is assigned to Company 2. Those are red neon flags for tax fraud, wire fraud, and money laundering. A whole lot worse than whether you do or don't get a couple of miles or points.

EINs are free. I just filed for one for my sole prop last saturday.

The real question is whether its worth the 5 minutes to get one for your sole prop or just use your SS?

There is no need to obtain an EIN nor is there an advantage to applying with an EIN.

Is there an advantage to using an EIN if applying for multiples of the identical card for separate businesses?
