Did Chase Sapphire Reserve AU Fee Increase to $150?

The following transactions just appeared on my CSR account. My wife is an AU, which I thought would incur a $75 fee (not $150). Before I call Chase to inquire about this, I thought I'd check to see if anyone has any insight for me.

Oct 1, 2018 ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE $450.00

Im not aware of any changes. Any chance you have a second AU youve forgotten about, or perhaps werent charged your wifes AU fee last year for some reason?

Just one AU. And, yes, I was not charged for her last year. ^ In fact, I was not charged the $450 fee last year. ^^ So, I'm way ahead. For that reason, I'm reluctant to call Chase at all. Still, I thought advice would be helpful. While, yes, the $150 transaction could be to make up for last year, it could also be a stealth increase in the AU annual fee. Unlikely? Perhaps, but the transaction gives no indication either way. And it's not like Chase never makes changes without telling us beforehand.

Well, that's consistent with no fee increase, which is good. ^ What's weird is that chase would catch my missed $75 AU fee last year but not the missed $450 fee! Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

To my knowledge, the fee has always been $150 - at least back to when I signed up in January 2017.

Congrats on having no annual fee post. I'm quite jealous, but $900 in, I've earned a LOT of rewards and benefits so I can't really complain.

Thanks. I think that settles the matter.

RNE, choosing not to contact Chase about the $150 fee.

I am in the same boat as you. I am ahead 1 annual fee and they did charge me $150 for 1 AU. But I also got new cards and numbers due to my number being compromised and some one trying to use my card at Nordstrom. When they sent the new credit cards, they sent one for me and two for my AU. I call them and they said I had 2 AU with the exact same name and data. Of course, Chase duplicated my AU and proceeded to delete the second one and reimbursed the $75 annual fee. So I was charged $450 + $75 only in the end.

If they charge you the $150 again next year make sure you call. They probably duplicated your AU. See post above.

I'm on the horn with Chase right now. ^

Edit: The AU fee was reduced to $75. ^
