Man Buys $60K Tesla with Ink Business Preferred & Plastiq...Earns 3X Points!
I came across this story today. Apparently, this gentleman paid for his new Tesla through Plastiq, using his Chase Ink Business Preferred Card. The transaction netted him 180,000 Chase UR points. Even paying Plastiq's 2.5% fee (approx. $1,470), he still comes out ahead if he transfers the points to the right airline or hotel program. As a non-millennial who has no idea what Plastiq is, I admit I just may have to read up on it

He's got 4.5c/point if he just uses the UR points to book travel through Chase's portal.

The $35k model isn't available yet. The one you refer to is $60k because they have extended range and usually a few options. I know someone who does want barebones and his delivery date keeps slipping.

It reminds me how someone on a PBR interview or similar TV interview bragged about how she bought the US Mint $1 coins to earn free points... Shortly after that, the once quietly plucking along for over 2 years US Mint $1 purchase was no more....
Such an idiot.

Not to get too off topic, but at least your registration fee is cheap. Here in Maine it's an annual excise tax based on the car's age and MSRP. Your first year's registration here would have been $1452.
