This is the NEW Chase IHG Rewards Club Premier card. It replaced the old IHG Rewards Club Select card in 2018. Existing card members were not automatically product changed to the new card. Among the many changes, the AF jumped from $49 to $89 per year.

For discussion prior to April 2018, see this archived thread.

Q. Where can I learn more about the annual free-night certificate associated with this card? How long are the certificates good for? Are the certificates revoked if you cancel your Chase card?

A. See Annual Free Night Cert from IHG (Rewards Club) Visa / Mastercard.

Q. Once I meet the spending requirement, how soon will I receive my bonus points?

A. Bonus points typically accrue at the close of the billing period in which you incur the corresponding charges. Points should appear in your IHG account within a few days thereafter.

NOTE: If you complete your required spending in the last 7-10 days of the statement period, the bonus may not post until the following month's statement, even if the regular per-dollar points post on the first statement. This is normal behavior for Chase and is not worth a phone call.

Q. Can I apply for this card and earn the bonus after doing so previously?

A. For answers to these and other questions, see the wiki and related discussion in the master discussion thread https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chase-ultimate-rewards/2016194-applying-chase-business-cards-april-2020-onward.html

Q. Will the signup bonus count toward Spire Elite status?

A. No.

I always found Chase more difficult than BOA as far as new accounts go. So I would go chase and then BOA

Chase can't see all of your inquiries!

They only see those inquiries on the credit bureau they pull.

For some people in some areas, almost all the banks pull the same bureau, but for other people in other areas, different banks may pull different bureaus.

And it's unclear when someone says "I have 29 inquiries" what they mean. Do they mean they have 29 inquiries on the bureau that Chase pulled for them, or only that they have 29 inquiries total across the 3 bureaus?

This is generally true because Chase typically only checks one bureau per application, but we should bear in mind that they do sometimes pull from two, and could check all three if they want to spend the money. Chase can see everything that we can see.

Do we know whether, when they pull from two, they add the inquiries from the two, or just use the bigger number of the two?

Historically, for years, Chase pulled TU and EQ for us. But, for my CIBP app this month, TrustedID showed they only pulled Experian. Surprised me. We live in the Intermountain West.

Yeah, around here they always pull two. The same two as everybody else. Chase sees every single pull for us except those from Barclays.

They always pull 2 on our applications, even on an instant approval of Ink Preferred.

The double pulls started a few years ago when no one believed me when I posted. Then it stopped about 24 months ago with only 1 pull but resumed the double pulls shortly after the brief reprieve.

Also they and actually all banks these days, do AR which often from the different bureau used for application.

I think the days people trying to find out which bureau the bank uses thus freeze other bureaus are long gone. I knew a few months ago someone tried to use this tactic and the bank insisted him to unfreeze the bureau before process the application when he called to inquire.

I'm concerned that the computer programmers at IHG might not have configured the system to recognize that someone holds both cards.
I have both cards and booked a 4 night stay yesterday. I got charge for 3 nights and the 4th night is free (benefit of the new card). I don't see the 10% point rebate though (benefit of the old card). Any other DPs regarding this? Thanks.

Did you receive the 80K bonus pts on the new card?

How long ago did you receive the bonus pts on your old card?

That was never shown/deducted at booking but refunded after the stay

I have just completed an online dispute request for $200.00 from my $1000.00 points purchase.
After a few back and forth secure messages with chase that is what its come down to.

The 20% discount on points purchases is a Chase benefit and should be fulfilled by chase correct?

as it is a Chase card benefit your contract partner is chase (from a no lawyer perspective) even if the benefit would in the end be provided by IHG (fee night etc). It is like you hire a contractor and he hires subcontractors > your contact is the contractor
but Chase always referred to IHG when I contacted them
