What card after CSP and CSR?

Wanting to stay in the Chase family so I can move points around in Utimate Rewards, what card would you get after having the CSP and CSR already.

Thanks.

Ink Preferred if you want a business card. Otherwise the Freedom or Freedom Unlimited.

The CSR benefits overlap the CSP.

Apply for a Freedom (5X on category spend) or Ink as noted above; which is the better match for you, then product convert ("PC") the CSP to the Freedom Unlimited (1.5X UR on all spend) and save the annual fee on the CSP.

Before applying for the new card, ensure you are under 5/24, and opt for the offer with the best sign up bonus you can get. This could mean waiting for it.

As others have pointed out, there aren't a whole bunch that earn URs, so it comes down to Freedom, Freedom Unlimited on the personal side, and Ink Preferred or Ink Cash on the business side. If you want a card that you can use for all purchases without worrying too much about whether it's the absolute best, the Freedom Unlimited is hard to beat. But if you think you can max out the Chase Freedom's 5x rotating categories on a regular basis, then it's another great card. And the Ink Cash has 5x on Office Supply Stores up to $25k, so if you spend a lot there, it's another great one.

I heard there are pre-approved offers in branch for the Freedom UL for 30,000 points + 2,500 for adding an authorized user. Saw that on doctor of credit. Might be worth checking out.

Aside from saying ditto to @reft's comment, I'll also say PCing the CSP is really easy and can be done through secure message on your chase login. Enjoy!

I wouldn't waste a Chase slot on the Freedom or FU. First card up should be the ink preferred or maybe even the Ink Cash.

Do you fly near a United hub? Do you stay at Marriotts? Do you fly SWA? If yes to any of these, pursue these before the Freedoms. As mentioned, you can later PC the CSP to one of the Freedoms.

If u convert the CSP to a Freedom card, what happens to the CSP points?
Can the CSP points be moved to the CSR account?

Thanks!

Nothing.
Yes.

In a Chase PC (within the same reward system, say CSP to Freedom Unlimited where both are UR points), you get issued a new physical card. The card number will remain identical. The CVV will change, and probably the expiration date. Your credit report will not show any change. You will get a revised terms and conditions for the new card. Use the old card until you get the new one.

In your Chase Login, the card image will change before you get the new plastic. The points will stay there. If you prefer, you can transfer the points from the CSP to the CSR before you do the PC.

Trivial items: The Freedom cards are plastic not metal. If you change from the the CSR/CSP, the 800 number on the back of the card is not the same. There are reports it routes to an offshore call center.

While I do agree with you that there are probably better cards in the Chase family depending on the OP's needs, he specifically wanted to move around Ultimate Rewards and already has the CSP and CSR. That doesn't leave a whole lot of cards that earn UR's available.

I'd definitely PC the CSP into a Freedom 5% or Freedom Unlimited. CSR makes the CSP redundant. And that's exactly what I did.

I'd get Ink Preferred and Ink Cash for bonus, then get Freedom, convert CSP to Freedom Unlimited, cancel Ink Preferred. You will be left with CSR, Ink Cash, Freedom, Freedom Unlimited, which is the best combination.

This is the exact lineup I'm aiming to get. I just put in my Ink Cash app, which went pending. Trying to decide if I should put my Freedom Unlimited app in today, to hopefully combine the hard inquiries into 1. I don't want to do that if the CFU app will negatively affect my chances of getting the Ink Cash. That's more important to me, but I would love to have both cards. I also can't guarantee I'll get the CFU...I may be at 5/24 depending on whether Chase counts the Ink Cash pending app when I submit the CFU.
