Always stuck in the Verified by Visa when purchase ticket....Any solution??
 
Does anyone have the same situation??
it always show Verified by Visa and Chase logo forever...
and warning that do not hit close or back buttion...

Wondering anyone has solution? except changing the card..

Not yet... but not only on United.com, some websites have same issue... (recently I am not in the U.S.)

Honestly I am not sure who I should contact with... becuase no pending transcation showed on Chase online banking, even though I closed that page many times...

Try contacting Chase via their securing messaging system tied to the credit card online account.

I tried different browsers, and the other Macbook.
I will clean cookies first, and I will contact Chase if doesn't work..

Btw, do we need to register Verified by Visa? because United has a "learn more" buttion for the Verified by Visa, which indacte that we should register.

You do need to register with Verified by Visa but did not think you would see the splash page if you had not register.

I had issues while in China. Just changed to corporate Amex. Probably not what visa wants.

I encountered this the other night when I was purchasing some tickets through UA.com. I have Kapersky Safe money and it opens in another window and it got stuck, so I went back and continued in the same window (i.e. did not use the window that opened for Safe Money) and the transaction processed.

Could be overly aggressive ad blocking stopping the VBV process.

Doesn't work even though I used VPN..

I used Amex in case the price changed..

maybe all Chase cards had register... cause usually that splash page showed up only 1 sec, and then finish the purchase..

could be, but I am using safari without any extension.. did not check "block pop-up windows" option either.

Mine got stuck the other day too. After a couple minutes I closed the window and checked the Chase app, which showed no pending charge. Then I went back and tried again and it went right through.

How about just select the "Pay with Cash" option to put the itinerary on hold, then call "1K Desk" with the PNR# and pay over the phone?

Doesn't solve the underlying problem, but at least it allows you to clear the hurdle today.

I hate VBV in general - I consider it security theatre and the only thing I have ever seen it do is make it difficult or impossible to allow me to use my card.

That said, my understanding is that Chase used a different implementation of VBV and you can not register for it using Visa's site like you can for other cards.

That said, I haven't had issues with this on UA.com - probably since it was CO.com where I did have issues in the past. I also had issues with many sites when I was living in India where it did very similar things to where you are discussing. In India, they also use a technology called 3D secure, which I think in many cases is incompatible with VBV. For a couple of vendors, I was able to avoid the problem by giving Chase the info. and them specifically allowing it and it seemed to work afterwards. For others, some local sites wouldn't actually accept US or foreign-issued cards (unlikely an issue with UA.com). For others, they claimed they should accept it, but I could never get it to work.
