  • 100,000 Chase UR points after $15K spend in 3 months, with $95 annual fee (not waived the first year)

Additionally: For those who may be automatically excluded due to 5/24, the in-branch Business Rep can submit the application by Mail on your behalf (this avoids the application going through the computer check that would automatically exclude those who are already at 5/24.) First year's annual fee is not waived.

: Some members may have a referral link and would be very grateful if you would use it. See this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/credi...ost-first.html

1) Should I apply using the link above or go to a nearby brick and mortar branch?
Sometimes there are better offers to be had in the branch (as referenced above). Some in-branch apps had/have the $95 AF waived 1st yr (ymmv). You can also have your banker check to see if you are pre-approved for this card (green screen on the banker's log in). However, it is likely simpler/easier to do a Chase business credit application Online as applying in-branch often requires providing documentation (proof of business, etc).

2) How do the rewards differ from other INK cards?
The bonus categories on this card are different than other cards in the INK family, notably, this card does NOT get a bonus at Office Supply stores, but DOES get the following:

3 Points per $1 on the first $150,000 spent in combined purchases in the following categories each account anniversary year:

- Travel; including airfare, hotels, rental cars, train tickets, and taxis
- Shipping purchases
- Internet, cable and phone services
- Advertising purchases made with social media sites and search engines

- 1 Point per $1 on all other purchases (with no limits on the number of points you can earn).

Also, notably, it follows the Sapphire Preferred personal card in offering a bonus when using points to book travel using the Ultimate Rewards web site: Points are worth 25% more when you redeem for travel through Chase Ultimate Rewards®. For example, 80,000 points are worth $1,000 towards travel.*

See discussion on using the UR portal, here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chase...ts-2017-a.html
3) What are the insurance and other benefits provided by this card?
The Benefits Guide is here: https://www.chasebenefits.com/inkpreferred
4) Can I product change from a different INK Card?
Since this card is newly released, options may change in the future, but, at this time, Chase is not permitting product change to Ink Preferred at this time (reported on 11/23/16).
See our ongoing discussion here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chase...16-onward.html

I was wondering the same thing, but for Citibank.

Why would you try to apply again instead of just providing the proof of address? You have an application that is still alive and they've already run your credit so why let that go to waste? A lot of sole proprietors have home businesses and their home address is their business address. I'm just confused by the resistance to providing a simple proof of address.

Has Chase ever offered publicly offered more than 80k for the CIP? I'm not talking about the in-branch offers, because it's damn near impossible to meet with a business relationship manager on my schedule. I'm talking about something online.

I've been wanting the CIP for a while, but kept trying to wait for a 100k.

No. If you want 100K, get a CIP (first one - 80K).

Then self refer (20K) and get another CIP (another 80K).

(Actually, that would be 180K but you get the idea.)

It's certainly not worth it when all you need to do is fax a copy of a utility bill with your name and address on it to get your existing application approved. I'm also baffled by your resistance to this seemingly simple task.

About 1 week after I received my card, my husband got a mailer with an invite code for this same card (it has our same business info). At first I ignored the mailer thinking that he would probably not be able to get the bonus. Basically I thought that this mailer was possibly scheduled to be mailed out before I actually applied for the card. I am familiar with Citi and AMEX rules but not Chase as we were both 5/24 and thus ignored Chase cards for quite awhile. With AMEX we can't both apply for the same card with the same EIN and both get the bonus and since this makes sense to me I assumed this was probably the case with many credit cards. However, he got a second mailer with the same offer less than two weeks after the first so I'm now taking a closer look. This paper offer and application do not have any wording that would suggest that he would not be eligible for the offer. I know that with Citi that would mean he could get the bonus but I don't know if that holds true with Chase.

Is it actually possible that my husband is also eligible to get this card and the bonus offer using the same EIN that I used? I definitely do not want to have him apply if he will not get the bonus. He does not have any other Chase credit cards so I was planning to have him apply for a Chase card in the near future.

I'm sure that I can find an example of this same scenario and an answer somewhere but I've maxed out the time I can spend searching (I found this thread a little too late in my searching and reading). Any insight and advice would be greatly appreciated.
We have had 3 different owner/officers of our company receive bonuses for the Chase Ink Plus using our corporation's EIN.

Applied for the Ink Business Preferred card today. Got the 7-10 day notice.
  1. I'm 0/30 and 4/24 with a FICO > 800, income > $150k, Chase CL $58k*, charge about $5k/mo, nothing revolving.
  2. I have only personal cards: CSR, CFU, and CF (no business cards). No other relationship with Chase.
  3. I applied as a sole proprietor, my name is the business name, I used my SS number, listed 2.5k est. annual revenue and 1 yr in biz.
* I probably should've reduced my CL before applying, but that ship has sailed.

Questions:
  • I believe the proper strategy is NOT to call Chase and instead wait and see what happens. Correct?
  • If for some reason I do call or Chase calls me, what's likely to be their beef with this application? The high CL?

Thanks for the confirmation. I thought as much, but was holding onto hope.

Digital Letter from Chase: "Too many credit cards opened in the last two years associated with you."

Turns out I'm 5/24 after all. I missed counting a card I closed last year. It was opened just within the 24 month window.

Dang! That's unfortunate. Better luck with the next app.

advice on churning this card

I had the business ink preferred card from 6/13/17 to end of July 2018. Got my points and referred my spouse and got 20k bonus points. Then I closed the account at the end of July 2018.

Can I have her refer me and I sign up using her link so she gets 20k points and i get the 80k sign up bonus?

When should I apply for the card this time around? Do I use the same business name or another business name?

I just dropped under 5/24 as of 6/1/19 so I should be good to apply for another product with chase, assuming I can churn this card.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

There are several INK cards. If you are re-applying for the same card you need to wait 24 months from the time that the previous bonus posted to your UR account, not from the date the account was opened.

Unless you have a registered business that Chase can verify you should apply using your legal First Name, Last Name as the business name, with NO other words added.

I had the chase ink business preferred. I don't have a registered business. I used a variation of my name for the last business name. should I use the exact same as my business name or just my First name Last name .

Was planning on having my spouse close her card in the next 2 months to avoid the AF. Waiting 24 months from when I got the bonus in 2017 would put me beyond that date, so she woudln't get the 20k bonus referral. Do they do a prorated AF refund?

No. Chase now tries to verify that you have registered this Fictitious Name with your state or county. If they cannot find it they will request documentation. Just use your legal name.

Annual fee refunds are discussed here. May be different if she downgrades rather than cancelling:

New Chase policy (Oct 2016): No Annual Fee refund >30 days after AF billed.
