  • 100,000 Chase UR points after $15K spend in 3 months, with $95 annual fee (not waived the first year)

Additionally: For those who may be automatically excluded due to 5/24, the in-branch Business Rep can submit the application by Mail on your behalf (this avoids the application going through the computer check that would automatically exclude those who are already at 5/24.) First year's annual fee is not waived.

: Some members may have a referral link and would be very grateful if you would use it. See this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/credi...ost-first.html

1) Should I apply using the link above or go to a nearby brick and mortar branch?
Sometimes there are better offers to be had in the branch (as referenced above). Some in-branch apps had/have the $95 AF waived 1st yr (ymmv). You can also have your banker check to see if you are pre-approved for this card (green screen on the banker's log in). However, it is likely simpler/easier to do a Chase business credit application Online as applying in-branch often requires providing documentation (proof of business, etc).

2) How do the rewards differ from other INK cards?
The bonus categories on this card are different than other cards in the INK family, notably, this card does NOT get a bonus at Office Supply stores, but DOES get the following:

3 Points per $1 on the first $150,000 spent in combined purchases in the following categories each account anniversary year:

- Travel; including airfare, hotels, rental cars, train tickets, and taxis
- Shipping purchases
- Internet, cable and phone services
- Advertising purchases made with social media sites and search engines

- 1 Point per $1 on all other purchases (with no limits on the number of points you can earn).

Also, notably, it follows the Sapphire Preferred personal card in offering a bonus when using points to book travel using the Ultimate Rewards web site: Points are worth 25% more when you redeem for travel through Chase Ultimate Rewards. For example, 80,000 points are worth $1,000 towards travel.*

See discussion on using the UR portal, here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chase...ts-2017-a.html
3) What are the insurance and other benefits provided by this card?
The Benefits Guide is here: https://www.chasebenefits.com/inkpreferred
4) Can I product change from a different INK Card?
Since this card is newly released, options may change in the future, but, at this time, Chase is not permitting product change to Ink Preferred at this time (reported on 11/23/16).
See our ongoing discussion here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chase...16-onward.html

Unable to Convert Ink Plus to Ink Preferred?

I called Customer Service yesterday, trying to convert my Chase Ink Plus to Chase Ink Preferred, but was told I couldn't, since they are different products. Anybody having similar/counter experiences?

Mrs. lkar applied for the Ink Business Preferred online the morning that the application went live. Got 7-10 day pending message. A couple of days later the automated phone line switched to 30 days, and just recently we called and it said she was approved.

She was 4/24. This is her third chase card this year (Sapphire Preferred and Reserve). She has an ink bold with 5x that she has had for a few years for the same business.

Apparently, Chase isn't permitting PC to Ink Preferred at this point:

Does anyone know exactly how the cell phone protection benefit works?

Does the initial phone purchase have to be on this card?

Or does the card have to be used for a minimum of one bill payment for the associated device?

Or do several bill payments associated with the device need to have been charged to this card, at the time of claim?

Interesting... they only require that the phone line associated with the device needs to be specified on the phone bill. I guess this coverage would also apply to unbranded/unlocked grey market phones as well?

I think not. Read the entire section headed: What is not covered? and note this exclusion:

Replacement cellular wireless telephone not purchased from a
cellular service providers retail or Internet store, (for example:
Verizon Wireless, Sprint Wireless, etc.) or from an authorized
cellular phone retailer.

I had the Ink Plus up until 12 months ago when I cancelled the card. If I sign up again, will I be eligible for the 80k bonus points?

Since Ink Plus is no longer available and the 80k is for a different product, Ink Preferred, you will be eligible for the bonus if approved for the card.

I am happy to report that eBay fees indeed coded as 3x for me. I paid direct to eBay, not through PayPal and not with the card linked to my account. When paying, I used the 1 time payment with a credit card. I am not sure if normal monthly billing would classify as the same charge.

I had just paid off the balance before receiving my Ink Preferred

Thanks! I just (really just like yesterday) switched my ebay fee to pay with Amex SPG. 3 Marriott points per $ is not as good as 3 UR points but not bad. I don't think the Amex SPG card will last long when SPG and Marriott finally merge.. so I will switch to Ink Business "Preferred" when SPG is gone.. I might check back with you to see if you are still getting the 3x points!
