Additionally: For those who may be automatically excluded due to 5/24, the in-branch Business Rep can submit the application by Mail on your behalf (this avoids the application going through the computer check that would automatically exclude those who are already at 5/24.) First year's annual fee is not waived.
: Some members may have a referral link and would be very grateful if you would use it. See this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/credi...ost-first.html
1) Should I apply using the link above or go to a nearby brick and mortar branch?
Sometimes there are better offers to be had in the branch (as referenced above). Some in-branch apps had/have the $95 AF waived 1st yr (ymmv). You can also have your banker check to see if you are pre-approved for this card (green screen on the banker's log in). However, it is likely simpler/easier to do a Chase business credit application Online as applying in-branch often requires providing documentation (proof of business, etc).
2) How do the rewards differ from other INK cards?
The bonus categories on this card are different than other cards in the INK family, notably, this card does NOT get a bonus at Office Supply stores, but DOES get the following:
3 Points per $1 on the first $150,000 spent in combined purchases in the following categories each account anniversary year:
- Travel; including airfare, hotels, rental cars, train tickets, and taxis

- For reports on what qualifies as travel expenses, see https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chas...solidated.html
- Shipping purchases
- Internet, cable and phone services
- Advertising purchases made with social media sites and search engines
- 1 Point per $1 on all other purchases (with no limits on the number of points you can earn).
Also, notably, it follows the Sapphire Preferred personal card in offering a bonus when using points to book travel using the Ultimate Rewards web site: Points are worth 25% more when you redeem for travel through Chase Ultimate Rewards®. For example, 80,000 points are worth $1,000 towards travel.*

3) What are the insurance and other benefits provided by this card?
The Benefits Guide is here: https://www.chasebenefits.com/inkpreferred
4) Can I product change from a different INK Card?
Since this card is newly released, options may change in the future, but, at this time, Chase is not permitting product change to Ink Preferred at this time (reported on 11/23/16).

I will soon be under 5/24. I received an Ink Plus bonus less than 2 years ago. I no longer have the Ink Plus card. Will I be eligible to earn the Ink Preferred bonus? Are they considered different products? Thanks for your help

Too bad you dont have the Ink Plus anymore. Else you can self-refer yourself and apply the Ink Preferred via the Referral Link. You will then receive 20K referral bonus if your app to the Ink Preferred is approved. Else you can help a friend to earn the 20K referral bonus. You will earn the 80K unless you can get a paper application done at the branch by a BRM - seems the only way to get the 100K bonus. However applying thru a BRM entails a lot more process (lots more questions and paperwork, depending on how thorough the BRM is and how willing s/he is) than applying online. Therefore thru the self-referral would get you 100K in total without going thru the hassle to apply at the branch.

PSA-Cell Phone Protection Claim
Just a heads up, and this may have already been stated somewhere in the thread, but we had a cell phone (iPhone) covered under the Ink Pref card and the system became unresponsive. We took it to the Apple store and the phone couldn't be fixed. We filed a claim, and it was denied. Failed operating systems are not covered. Guess we should have accidentally run over it with the car.

Okay, I spoke with someone at a branch, she set up an appointment for me with a small business specialist this Friday (NOT a BRM). However, she said he would take the paper application (that includes the extra sign up bonus she mentioned) and then send it to the BRM who would then call me with any questions and then submit it. She said it's better to do it that way because the BRM moves around to different branches. Does it sound like that will work? Thanks,

Have helped 3-4 family members open accounts with BRMs, and this was basically the route two of them used. Local banker took the info and obtained the signature on the disclosure, while BRM hit the proverbial "send" button. Their time is often too valuable to meet with smaller clients

Using Plastiq on $5K minimum spend?
My recollection with Chase UR cards is that soon after you meet the minimum spend, when you look at the UR points associated with the card, the sign-up bonus starts showing as part of the points pending ....
I thought I went over $5K with a Plastiq payment (~$1,200) that posted a week ago. But no sign yet of the bonus in the points pending. Is it possible that Chase is excluding Plastiq as a qualified purchase toward the initial spend bonus?

I called a local Chase bank today and asked to speak to the BRM and was told he wasn't in. But I was able to speak to a lady who works with him. She was aware of the 100K offer and she said she would fill out a paper app and give it to him (BRM) and he would submit it. She said: "the only way to get the 100K offer is to submit a paper app. " (contradicts an earlier post here). I didn't tell her whether I was over or under 5/24. I'll make an appt next month when I drop to 4/24.
