Sapphire Reserve Annual Travel Credit
How are the dates calculated?
For cards issued prior to May 21, 2017 it was Reimbursed per Calendar year, not membership year. Purchases must be posted (not pending) by your December statement (dated any time Dec 1 through Dec 31) to be credited against current year's $300 credit. Any travel spend that posts after the December statement will credit against the next year's $300 credit.
For cards issued after May 21, 2017, it will be reimbursed by membership year.
But my 2nd annual fee is after May 21, 2017, why didn't my travel credit reset?
Because if you got your card before that date, your travel credit will continue to reset after your December statement.
Does the travel credit count as minimum spend?
Spend is spend, the credit is the credit. The $300 reimbursement is a separate item from spending requirements( the $300 reimbursement on travel, $100 Goes all count towards the $4,000 only the $450 yearly fee doesn't). You must spend $4000 for your signup bonus UR points. If part of that spend is categorized as travel, a credit will post to your account accordingly. They are separate items.
Even if you return a purchase after you've met your $4000 initial spend it will not count against your spend.
Can I get two travel credit fees if I apply in the middle of the year?
Not for applications after May 21, 2017.
What counts as Travel?
Gas Station and Grocery Store purchases will also count through 12/31/21. (See post 1521.)
The following items have been reimbursed.
Airline purchases, fees & gift cards:

Hyatt physical gift card from Hyatt.com does not trigger credit. Codes as "Online, Mail, or Telephone transaction". Have SM'd to see if Chase will manually adjust.

It was reported back in page 30, but now that it has been reported multiple times, I went to change the Wiki hope it is okay to do so.

And the SM request to Chase was unsuccessful:
"Upon review let me confirm that the transaction of $3XX.XX at Hyatt is categorized as Card, Gift Novelty and Souvenir Stores. The rewards adjustment you requested cannot be made because the merchant is not in an eligible category. Since the merchant in question was not assigned an appropriate category, your purchase(s) did not qualify for
this reward."
Wiki should be changed.

The only hotel GC works as of now is Marriott GC until further DP reported.
I understand people's desire to buy things that they will use in later days however since time is running out, why not pick the SURE BETS and be done with it?
AA eGift Card does not expire, can only be used to buy tickets. However one purchase can use up to 8 eGift Cards. You can even order in as low as $50.

Wiki says Marriott GC works. Does both physical and e-gift GC works?

You can search on this thread to see. It seems 2 posts mentioned Marriott GC and first one is physical GC works. The 2nd one said Marriott GC works but did not mention if it's e-gift or physical. I am guessing physical.

EZ-Pass from Pennsylvania works. You need to follow what earlier posts said and wait until it is out of the PENDING stage. If it is pending, travel credit won't be. Also, I wouldn't wait until the last minute. It took 2 days for the transaction to finalize. Give yourself at least a week to meet the December bill deadline. DO NOT WAIT until December 31st.

Figured I would share this here. I accidentally got the travel credit back for my Denver RTD Lightrail pass I use for work. I didn't even think about it and was just using the card for my normal MS.
Charge of 94.05$ went through on the 21st and was credited the same day. Now I need to hurry and spend the next 200$ for 2016.

Just purchased Marriott Physical gift cards and I'm nervous bc it actually says Marriott Gift Cards. Can anyone who got the travel credit confirm that's how it came up in your pending transaction?
