Sapphire Reserve Annual Travel Credit
How are the dates calculated?
For cards issued prior to May 21, 2017 it was Reimbursed per Calendar year, not membership year. Purchases must be posted (not pending) by your December statement (dated any time Dec 1 through Dec 31) to be credited against current year's $300 credit. Any travel spend that posts after the December statement will credit against the next year's $300 credit.
For cards issued after May 21, 2017, it will be reimbursed by membership year.
But my 2nd annual fee is after May 21, 2017, why didn't my travel credit reset?
Because if you got your card before that date, your travel credit will continue to reset after your December statement.
Does the travel credit count as minimum spend?
Spend is spend, the credit is the credit. The $300 reimbursement is a separate item from spending requirements( the $300 reimbursement on travel, $100 Goes all count towards the $4,000 only the $450 yearly fee doesn't). You must spend $4000 for your signup bonus UR points. If part of that spend is categorized as travel, a credit will post to your account accordingly. They are separate items.
Even if you return a purchase after you've met your $4000 initial spend it will not count against your spend.
Can I get two travel credit fees if I apply in the middle of the year?
Not for applications after May 21, 2017.
What counts as Travel?
Gas Station and Grocery Store purchases will also count through 12/31/21. (See post 1521.)
The following items have been reimbursed.
Airline purchases, fees & gift cards:

My statement closes on Dec. 14, so any travel transactions after the 14th is applied toward next year credit.
Link to chase: https://www.chase.com/card-benefits/...reserve/travel
$300 Annual Travel Credit: A statement credit will automatically be applied to your account when your card is used for purchases in the travel category, up to $300 in statement credits annually ("annually" means the year beginning with your account open date through the first December statement date of that same year, and each 12 billing cycles starting after your December statement date through the following December statement date).

Anyone able to get Chase to provide a work around for unused 2016 credit after the December statement closed. I was getting ready to max out my wife's card and realized it was based off statement date and not calendar year. $250 left on the table

I believe you use it or lose it. I don't think there's any other choice. People are already maxing out 2017's credit. Sorry

Funny, we just called Chase. Our statement close date is tomorrow. The CSR immediately said, "Are you calling because of the travel credit?" My husband said yes, and she offered to extend our close date to the 28th, effective this month. Hoping it will work-YMMV.

Datapoint fro the DISBoards (Disney talk). http://www.disboards.com/threads/pai...-back.3566592/
Someone reports that Disney Vacation Club Dues coded as travel and earned the $300 discount. I mention this here because it is contrary to the information in the Wiki.

So I already got my $300 travel credit for 2016 earlier in November. Just booked a hotel for the date of December 31 2016. Are they counting this as my 2017 already because they gave me $300 credit already. LOL. Thats twice now in 2016. weird.
Edit: nevermind just checked the $300 travel credit thread. Looks like this will count for 2017. got me excited but at least I got that out of the way.

Not weird at all. Once your December statement ends it's 2017 as far as Chase is concerned. It says this in the T&C.

Timeshare maintenance fee - Shell Vacations/Equiant
I have a timeshare with Shell Vacations. I paid my timeshare maintenance fees via Equiant. I charged $300 to pay the maintenance fee, and was credited within 48 hours.
Oh and this was on my wife's CSR that she applied for on 12/2 (got approved), and was given a 1/8/2017 closing statement date. I called and had that closing date moved to 12/28.

Just received my Sapphire Reserve on Friday. I don't suppose there's any way to get a 2016 travel credit?
(Yes I know I'm late. Trust me I applied earlier but I'm XX/24. I just got back to the country last week, and applied in branch after previous online denials, so happy to get approved!)
