Sapphire Reserve Annual Travel Credit
How are the dates calculated?
For cards issued prior to May 21, 2017 it was Reimbursed per Calendar year, not membership year. Purchases must be posted (not pending) by your December statement (dated any time Dec 1 through Dec 31) to be credited against current year's $300 credit. Any travel spend that posts after the December statement will credit against the next year's $300 credit.
For cards issued after May 21, 2017, it will be reimbursed by membership year.
But my 2nd annual fee is after May 21, 2017, why didn't my travel credit reset?
Because if you got your card before that date, your travel credit will continue to reset after your December statement.
Does the travel credit count as minimum spend?
Spend is spend, the credit is the credit. The $300 reimbursement is a separate item from spending requirements( the $300 reimbursement on travel, $100 Goes all count towards the $4,000 only the $450 yearly fee doesn't). You must spend $4000 for your signup bonus UR points. If part of that spend is categorized as travel, a credit will post to your account accordingly. They are separate items.
Even if you return a purchase after you've met your $4000 initial spend it will not count against your spend.
Can I get two travel credit fees if I apply in the middle of the year?
Not for applications after May 21, 2017.

That is a very good question.
the WN $300+ refundable ticket was one of the first purchases.
I canceled it soon after the $300 credit posted.
The most travel spend was UBER. Totaled probably about $100. Definitely not $300 or more.

I find this whole thread almost silly.
If the charge "codes" as travel, you get it. If it does not, you don't.
We have had three charges hit our credit card and a credit is the same/next day online.
Car rental, hotel, another hotel. Done. Over. Easy stuff.
Not like I was not going to spend money at any of those places anyways.

Purchased Disney World Tickets from Park Savers (parksavers.com). The transaction posted as travel - 3x points and $300 credit.
Added bonus - Tickets for four were about $300 less than direct from Disney. They also supplied the necessary ticket information to link to My Disney Experience.

My first statement just cut. As a FYI, points were not awarded on the $300 of travel expenses that were credited back. (Not a huge deal, but a point of distinction versus how AMEX and I believe Citi treats their travel credits.) The line item detail on the website doesn't actually show that as the credits are applied, the points from the original travel purchases are voided out.... I only realized this because it seemed that I was a bit short on points and realized that I was exactly 900 points short.

Rule #1 - it must post as TRAVEL
With that said, people posting that their parking or EzPass went through or did not is almost useless information. Each locality/business may set up their charge system differently. So, even though the parking counted in one city does NOT mean it counts in another city.

Am I understanding the December posting date travel credit reimbursement cutoff correctly? If I request to change my due date from say 5th to 26th, that would give me more time to spend the $300 travel credit in 2016? Assuming due date Dec 26th, closing Dec 29th or so?
