Sapphire Reserve Annual Travel Credit
How are the dates calculated?
For cards issued prior to May 21, 2017 it was Reimbursed per Calendar year, not membership year. Purchases must be posted (not pending) by your December statement (dated any time Dec 1 through Dec 31) to be credited against current year's $300 credit. Any travel spend that posts after the December statement will credit against the next year's $300 credit.
For cards issued after May 21, 2017, it will be reimbursed by membership year.
But my 2nd annual fee is after May 21, 2017, why didn't my travel credit reset?
Because if you got your card before that date, your travel credit will continue to reset after your December statement.
Does the travel credit count as minimum spend?
Spend is spend, the credit is the credit. The $300 reimbursement is a separate item from spending requirements( the $300 reimbursement on travel, $100 Goes all count towards the $4,000 only the $450 yearly fee doesn't). You must spend $4000 for your signup bonus UR points. If part of that spend is categorized as travel, a credit will post to your account accordingly. They are separate items.
Even if you return a purchase after you've met your $4000 initial spend it will not count against your spend.
Can I get two travel credit fees if I apply in the middle of the year?
Not for applications after May 21, 2017.

The wiki mentions calendar year reset but also references December statement.
I've already used my $300 credit. If my Dec statement closes on the 16th, would a travel charge on Dec 23rd 2016 (posted 24th) be reimbursed?
Is this date method different than the Ritz card?

If it was enough money to be worth bothering, Chase may give you the points/credit manually. I stayed at a hotel in Japan whose MCC was something weird but the business name was ABC HOTEL on the statement. It was a couple grand, so I SM'd for my points and they gave them to me. Same issue with several restaurants, but not worth my time for 15 points here and there.

AirBnB + CSR
This is as much an AirBnB question as much as a CSR question, neither product with which I am too familiar.
We plan to book an AirBnB for 30 DEC - 1 JAN.
Will that travel purchase be eligible for 2017's travel credit? Or if I get a CSR between after I booked the reservation but before the stay, can I change cards online with AirBnB and have this count against my 2016 travel credit?

Q2. I'm not 100% sure about this but I think you have to pay for your AirBnB in full when you book. That's how I've booked all my stays through AirBnB.

I called the JPM Executive Line reps. The reimbursement is based on transaction date. So even though the charge will show on January statement the transaction itself would be in 2016 and thus counted towards 2016 credit (if still available) . Same method applies to the Ritz card.

A statement credit will automatically be applied to your account when your card is used for purchases in the travel category, up to $300 in statement credits annually ("annually" means the year beginning with your account open date through the first December statement date of that same year, and each 12 billing cycles starting after your December statement date through the following December statement date).

Just got off the phone with Chase. Boyne Mountain hotel reservation in Michigan (charged as "BOYNE MOUNTAIN ONLINE RES") does not count as travel because Boyne Mountain does not correctly identify as a travel category. CS rep spoke to a manager and said there was nothing they could do about this and that Boyne needed to identify their transactions differently in order for this to count as travel.

i got my card last week, according to chase.com, my "next payment due Dec 12, 2016"
so i need to make my $300 travel charge by about Nov 15th?
i'm planning on staying at a Holiday Inn from Dec 9th-11th but theres no guarantee when the hotel will charge my card.

But with a 11th check out. It will not post by 12/15. Hotels are slow
