Things qualifying/not qualifying under $300 annual travel credit

Southwest Airlines GCs work fairly easily. I've generally bought them for $150 and said they're excess baggage fees.

Per the billing statement: 30 days or one billing cycle (whichever is less) after statement is provided on which the annual membership fee is billed.

DH applied for card yesterday, was instantly approved. Called today to expedite the card delivery and request to be matched to 3N/5K he heard about from a friend. He was transferred to a RC CSR who he said didn't bother to look for a 3N/5K offer, just spent 10 mins telling him about all the cards benefits. She suggested he get the offer code from his friend and SM to request the match. Would he need the code for the SM? if so, does anyone have it from the earlier promo?

For example - I've got the fee for pre-booking meals on Austrian airlines reimbursed - despite the fact that when you pre-book it is actually charged through the catering company. The representative googled it while we were on the phone and credit the fee immediately. Those sort of things are much easier when you are talking to someone.

As of today 10/27, the only Chase-initiated transactions in the last 12 months have been airfare credits and Global Entry credits. Net balance = net spend = $0, while keeping the lux card benefits. Works for me!

Did Chase bump up your credit limit without asking you? They did it for me and I requested for lower credit limit (now $1500). Hopefully my 2nd AF won't hit.

Early 2016 card. Met MSR during first statement cycle, af posted first statement (effective the immediate first of the month). Second cycle lowered af and got refund.
Couple of months before my first renewal , what would have been the second af , chase bumps my limit. I almost didn’t catch it but same statement cycle I SMed to move it over to another card and the second fee never posted. I’m over six months into second year w the card.
