However, later the same day I also requested the credit by Secure Message (for "baggage fees) and it was approved. Very YMMV now but still doable. 2/10/2017
Southwest Airlines GCs work fairly easily. I've generally bought them for $150 and said they're excess baggage fees.

Data point - even though I had the CL down to $1500, the AF posted. I have paid the AF the last couple years (due to the Marriott status benefit, plus the free night at RC after meeting spend).
However, at this point with AmEx Plat giving Gold SPG -> Gold Marriott, and I have no plans to spend $75K on it for platinum, I'll plan on canceling.
So it would appear that once you've paid the AF once, it will keep coming back regardless of your current CL on the card (at least, that's my experience).

Net $95 cost to get the visa infinite airfare discount? I’ve only used it once per year and even at such low usage it nets my cost for the card to zero.
Not only
That but I place value on having access to chase executive line. Any card. Umber I call from my home phone gets routed to the team that picks up on first ring and takes care of things with extreme efficiency.

Yes, but they probably put a cushion of an extra few days past the 12 month mark to play it safe. This is likely why some have benefitted from this twice, while others may not. It may be based on the time of the month the account was opened until the 1st of the month when the fee would post.

Are you grandfathered on the $395 AF?

I do agree that the Chase Executive line is nice, but it's hard to put a value on it.

Yes, I have the $395 AF. My problem is that I just don't pay baggage fees, so I tend to find random crap (seat upgrades, buying food on the flight) to spend it on and as such don't value it at $300.

Questions...
I've done a decent search here and can't find the answers, so I'd appreciate some help:
1. Am I correct in assuming that the $300 travel benefit can be used twice within a given year of having the card? If the card year is March 1, 2017 to Feb. 28, 2018, I could use it for $300 in 2017 and then again for $300 up through Feb. 28, 2017?
2. About the $100 air ticket discount for buying tickets for two to five people traveling together. Is it only for round-trip, or could it be an open jaw with a different destination and departure point within the same ticket? E.g., SFO-LAX/SAN-SFO?
Thanks for any help!

Maximum statement credit accumulation for this offer is $300 per calendar year. Annual credit will be issued for the calendar year in which the transaction posts to your account. For example, if you pay baggage fees at the end of 2015, and the airline does not post the transaction until 2016, the cost of the baggage fees will be allocated towards your 2016 calendar year maximum of $300.
