However, later the same day I also requested the credit by Secure Message (for "baggage fees) and it was approved. Very YMMV now but still doable. 2/10/2017

Southwest Airlines GCs work fairly easily. I've generally bought them for $150 and said they're excess baggage fees.

Guys any tips on what’s a good place to use the two night cert?

Thinking just a romantic weekend maybe pay for one extra night if necessary. I don’t intend to burn points for this as I prefer to hoard them for flights.

Thanks. greater NYC Based and basically looking for ideas for long wkd where I could snag flights for under $200 a piece from time to time to keep the costs down. Florida ? Don’t care for nyc. Canada is too cold now anyway.

Need to use the certs by late Jan, as I doubt Marriott will let me extend them again

Thanks!

Any dp on when the 2nd year priority pass cards are mailed out?
Specifically for an AU. I hope there won't be a lapse in coverage.

Based on places I travel, Asia and the US mainly, I used them at SFO and LAX because all 3 nights were going at $500+ the nights I Stayed at during the high season.

We reviewed your credit card account and found that you're

purchases in the first three months your account is open.

I have asked an Escalation Specialist to review
your request and contact you once the review has been
completed. You can expect a response from us by mail in

Thank you for your patience while the review is completed.

Applied for RC last week, SM'd today to match to 3FN offer, and was rejected

The terms
of the promotional do not allow us to match the 3 Free
Night offer. If you have received an invitation for this
offer please send it to us as an attachment. Thank you for
your time and I apologize for any inconvenience this may
have caused.

I am obviously going to try again. Any reco's on if I can SM again or if calling in would be the better course of action? Will update, hopefully this isn't the end of the matches!

I'm going to try today via SM and I'll let everyone know how it goes. After the message above, I'm not too optimistic!

We were 0/2 requesting the 3N match via phone reps when calling to get the card approved/expedited. But 2/2 matched once the 5K spend actually posted ... writing in that the phone rep had told us we would be matched to the offer once we made the spend and SM'd. This was at the end of Oct.

I have not been able to SM yet. I'm just waiting for a charge to leave "pending" status and then I will be at $5k. I will mention your response from the phone rep in my SM. Thanks for the tip.

Edit: I just sent the SM and received a confirmation email. I will post here when I get my answer.

This was probably asked here before. But I can’t find it ...

If I make a purchase for baggage fee on dec 31 17 and it post on Jan 1 18, will the travel credit be applied for 2017 or 2018?

thanks.

If you click the Wiki above and the link to the old Closed Thread, there is an old Wiki that answered your question:

As of 1/2/2015, Credit for these charges are based on TRANSACTION (purchase) date, not posting date. If you made an eligible purchase before the end of the year, even if it doesn't post until the following year, you can still receive credit for the previous year. See post #1268
