However, later the same day I also requested the credit by Secure Message (for "baggage fees) and it was approved. Very YMMV now but still doable. 2/10/2017
Southwest Airlines GCs work fairly easily. I've generally bought them for $150 and said they're excess baggage fees.

I guess the card website finally died last month,
https://www.ritzcarltonrewardscard.com/
https://web.archive.org/web/20190213...wardscard.com/
I had been using this as a reference to benefits. Has anyone seen a new site to replace it?

Thank you! I'm surprised they changed the style so much. The old site looked like a lot of work was put into it.

I reviewed the bill from my bed through the room TV on the morning I was scheduled to check out (very useful feature by the way) and the credit was already there. The front desk agent also mentioned it when I went to check out.
Overall I'm really glad I went with that rate code. It was the first time I had the opportunity to use a Club Level Upgrade certificate (I make 90% of my bookings using points) and it saved us ~$280 per night, which is nothing to sneeze at on a 5-night stay (although to be fair we probably wouldn't have paid for it if I hadn't had the certificates - we might have even chosen a different property altogether). We definitely made the most out of it, getting breakfast at the lounge every day and maybe 50% of our other meals there as well.
We also had the hotel car drop us off somewhere once, saving us a ~$20 taxi ride (this was a benefit provided exclusively to lounge guests).
And as a result of never needing food while at the hotel (thanks to the lounge) we didn't try any of their restaurants and didn't order room service, so we used the $100 credit on spa.

Marriott platinum
Somehow I found my status changed from gold to platinum recently. I was downgrade since all the change Marriott merger did... I have Ritz card not didn't spend 10k so I don't understand what brings me this perk.

Any recent experience w the concierge? I’ve always liked to use JPM Over Amex or Citi Prestige. If I had to send flowers or chocolates or whatever I could just call them, give them the budget, and on occasion give them full discretion to pick something. Had a recent experience where the rep wanted me to have to do another call once they located the exact price so they can confirm and authorize the cc #. Unacceptable IMO As this defeats the purpose of having to concierge take the ball and run. I’ve had this IMO for years w JPM Until recently but I’ve switched to Amex Plat concierge. Has there’s been any changes w JPM concierge provider or any policy change. Btw the rep did tell me that they can’t pull up prior requests because they switched vendors (weird?)

Just to confirm: I ended up not bringing it up, thinking I'd just deal with that at check out if the credit didn't appear on my bill.

Does this card still cover the $100 Global Entry credit? I just called CS and they said it's not a benefit. Also, is it a yearly benefit?

Why is the card still not available to new applicants? Will there be any changes for existing card members?
