However, later the same day I also requested the credit by Secure Message (for "baggage fees) and it was approved. Very YMMV now but still doable. 2/10/2017
Southwest Airlines GCs work fairly easily. I've generally bought them for $150 and said they're excess baggage fees.

It's basically like the old Marriott card but with "The Ritz Carlton" on it of course. It is now also contactless.

Did they bring back the full metal card? Or is it just like chase sapphire reserve ?

It's like the old Marriott card (fully black) or the Preferred/Reserve/Amazon Prime or any other plastic chase card with a metal core.
Also I believe the regular Marriott card is now plain plastic. Or at least that's what they sent to me.

Same here, even though I was previously informed by the Chase RC Exec Line that I had actually not met the $10,000 spend in 2018 (incorrect).
I'll pass along my kudos to the Lurker team as well - they've been the only ones during this confusion that have understood the issue and been appropriately responsive.

Oh well. It's time for my bi-weekly deal with BONVOY time to chase down my most recent stay, because why it would it post on its own?

Some of the RC properties overseas are dirt cheap.... Some in the $150 - $200 range.

Club certs are where I find this most valuable-- otherwise, usually prefer cash bookings with FHR/Stars/Virtuoso

My card anniversary just passed the other day, and I received my 3 club level upgrades - but not the free night certificate. Are others seeing a delay in the posting of their free night cert - and if so, how long did it post after your club level upgrades?

I think the free night certificates don’t post until maybe 8-10 weeks after anniversary (so Marriott can be sure the annual fee is paid?). Ymmv. Cheers.

Usually the certs post at the end of the month before the annual fee is dues with Chase. I have no experience (yet) with the Ritz card - but that is true for every other hotel card I have with Chase (including the Marriott one).
