Things qualifying/not qualifying under $300 annual travel credit
one member wrote: AA is now showing gift cards as "giftcard" rather than general purchase if the csr looks closely. Last year it worked for me, yesterday it did not and csr told me that's why. However, later the same day I also requested the credit by Secure Message (for "baggage fees) and it was approved. Very YMMV now but still doable. 2/10/2017
Southwest Airlines GCs work fairly easily. I've generally bought them for $150 and said they're excess baggage fees.

- Annual fee of $450 NOT waived.
- 6 points per dollar at Marriott properties, including SPGs and Ritz-Carltons. (same as all Chase & AmEx Marriott cards)

The expiration date printed on the card does not guarantee that the card, or it's features, will remain valid to that date.

Yes, that was my point, and why I stated in my post "does everyone think it will even last five years?" I was hoping someone could provide additional insight and or had further knowledge they could share, but I guess we will have to wait and see.

Suite Night Awards are not redeemable at the following brands: The Ritz-Carlton, Protea Hotels, Aloft, Element, Design Hotels™, all-Suite Hotels, Marriott Executive Apartments, Marriott Vacation Club EDITION, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Ritz-Carlton Destination Clubs and Marriott Grand Residence Club properties. In addition, Suite Night Awards are not redeemable at select Participating Properties.

There is a disclaimer at the beginning that states there is no change in benefits. Maybe it’s an oversight on the Marriott website and hopefully will reflect correctly when Chase posts it on theirs.

This is from a June 2018 solicitation I received, "ENJOY PLATINUM STATUS When you spend $75,000 on your card in an account year, you will be automatically elevated to Platinum Elite Status.*"

I'm sure this is easily out there -- but the 15 EQN count towards Choice Benefit qualification, right? Lifetime here so don't care about EQN other than to get choice benefits.
