Things qualifying/not qualifying under $300 annual travel credit

However, later the same day I also requested the credit by Secure Message (for "baggage fees) and it was approved. Very YMMV now but still doable. 2/10/2017
Southwest Airlines GCs work fairly easily. I've generally bought them for $150 and said they're excess baggage fees.

This should be the case. Nowhere in Marriott's migration info do they state that RC cardholders with gold/plat are migrated differently than someone who earned via 50/75 nights. Given that they have a whole section outlining how SPG gold migrates differently, if they planned to do something different here I think they would have noted it.

Timing sucked but currently refinancing my house. Should be done soon in the next 1-2 wks (damn underwriters!). Didnt think it was possible before since i thought merger was going to be 8/1, but now it is officially 8/18, i have a chance at this card still!

Per the agreement between MR, Chase and AmEx, Chase is not supposed to continue to accept application for the RC card, in favor of the AmEx SPG Lux card.
