However, later the same day I also requested the credit by Secure Message (for "baggage fees) and it was approved. Very YMMV now but still doable. 2/10/2017
Southwest Airlines GCs work fairly easily. I've generally bought them for $150 and said they're excess baggage fees.

I agree that AA upgrade stickers are not a great investment.
I also agree that it is a nuisance having to call in to get the credit.
This said, I find that over the course of a few months, lots of little airline charges pile up. They are always under $200; they are usually not round figures. Many of them are for seat upgrades and those annoying baggage fees.
YMMV.

I generally don't pay for seat upgrades or baggage fees due to elite status. 500-mile upgrades are hard, as mentioned earlier. Would an up-fare on AA work?

I know seat upgrade qualifies for RC travel reimbursement.
But can someone confirm that they were successful in getting this reimbursement when buying seat upgrade on international flight? Usually, from Y->J in international flight can be in the range of $300-700 or so. I just want to make sure that RC wont balk and refuse to reimburse a portion of that (which is $300)
Thanks

I called in a $40.00 Early Bird Boarding (Actually a "A1-A15 Boarding", fiancee and I had changed flights last minute and were stuck in C34-35) yesterday, told them exactly what it was and it was credited within an hour.

Perfect, hopefully the 3 free night deal is around when we apply. My wife is our Chase person and soon to be under 5/24 so we need to get her 5 new Chase cards that are subject to 5/24 first.
Primary car insurance as well as Marriott Gold should more than cancel out the $450 AF. 7 days of fee breakfast in Key West alone should be worth ~$250

I had no problem crediting 2 Delta Comfort+ upgrades that were $109 each. You shouldn't have any issues with a Business upgrade, they know how much they cost. Also not sure how your airline bills it but Delta upgrades actually say DELTA SEAT UPGRADE in the transaction title.
ok thanks both. Was thinking about bidding an upgrade on ET. Dont know how it will appear in transaction line but i think you dont have to show any proof unless they ask for it?

Thanks , we only fly domestic and pay for all of our flights with miles so I was trying to figure out if I could get any use of the $300 TC.
It seems DL will let upgrade for $30 but only in the cabin ( main) that I purchased with miles, not sure if AA allows and upgrade with $$ to first.
Any thoughts on how I could get use of the $300 ?

Was anyone able to use Global Entry for you and your spouse? (authorized user)

Also, has anyone tried booking separate tickets for you and your spouse to get the $100 off for each ticket? Does it work for authorized user cards?
