one member wrote: AA is now showing gift cards as "giftcard" rather than general purchase if the csr looks closely. Last year it worked for me, yesterday it did not and csr told me that's why. However, later the same day I also requested the credit by Secure Message (for "baggage fees) and it was approved. Very YMMV now but still doable. 2/10/2017

Southwest Airlines GCs work fairly easily. I've generally bought them for $150 and said they're excess baggage fees.

Any news as to whether the Ritz-Carlton Club Level Upgrade E-Certificates are being extended?

I would bet they could be, but I think it's likely not a big deal. You get 3 every year. I rarely have opportunity to use them, and they are good per stay--not night.

One upgrade cert per stay? Is there a cap on the number of nights per stay?

Mine were supposed to expire on June 10, 2020, but now it shows that they can be used from May 10, 2020 to January 2021. I'm not sure what this means for my next batch of 3 upgrade e-certs, which I should receive on my card anniversary date, which would be June 2020. Will I then have a total of 6 e-certs, 3 of them expiring on January 2021, and 3 expiring in June 2021? this is getting confusing. I hope I can use them all.

Nice-- mine were only extended 8-10-2020 to 1-31-2021. Luck of the draw, maybe?

My 3 club upgrades were set to expire in Oct. 2020 and were also bumped to 1/31/21. I think that's a pretty weak extension, but it would be hard to use them all since I will pick up 3 more in October.

Mine are now 1/31/21 too, which is an extension of only ~6 weeks since my anniversary date is mid December to begin with. Both my RC and Amex Brilliant 50k night certs are extended until 1/31 as well (though that's not news, Marriott said those would be extended).

Does anyone have experience cancelling a Delta flight that was booked through the Visa Infinite Air Discount website?

I'd love to get a refund by contacting Delta; but, I suspect I have to call 877-408-5537 and try. Travel isn't for 30 days.

Delta has issued massive schedule and routing changes.

It sounds as if you must call Delta:

Effective 12/31/2019, your Visa card no longer offers the Visa Discount Air Benefit. Air itineraries booked via the Visa Discount Air Benefit prior to 12/31/2019 will still be honored and valid for travel.

If you need servicing on your existing Visa Discount Air itinerary, please contact your Concierge before 12/31/2019. After 12/31/2019, Concierge will no longer have access to your itinerary and you will need to contact the airlines directly for assistance.
