However, later the same day I also requested the credit by Secure Message (for "baggage fees) and it was approved. Very YMMV now but still doable. 2/10/2017
Southwest Airlines GCs work fairly easily. I've generally bought them for $150 and said they're excess baggage fees.

Just canceled the RC card after 3 years. Was able to use both the certificate and travel credit (upgrades on DL) before canceling. Simply wasn't worth it to me. Rep didn't offer anything, simply put me on hold to move the credit line to a no-fee Chase card and came back and said the card was canceled.

Where did you move the RC Visa credit line to?

March 2nd and I still have Plat even though I didn’t meet the number of nights last year. I thought I’d lose it end of Feb. Anyone else?

If you upgrade from the Marriott Boundless, when does the 50K free night cert post? My current anniversary is in May. If I upgrade now, will I get the 50K cert or the 35K cert or does it reset my anniversary date to the date of the upgrade and I lose the time I have already put in for this year?

My question is related to maximizing the value of the next free night cert. If I upgrade now before the anniversary, will I get a 50k certificate or does my anniversary become March and I don’t receive anything till March 2021. Looking for data points from someone who has actually upgraded.

I have had this card since 2007 (in its previous 2 versions) so I am definitely eligible to upgrade.

Oh in that case, wait till the cert gets posted on your account before upgrading the card. If you upgrade now, you will not get the 35k cert. instead your anniversary date will be updated and have to wait one year in order to get the 50k cert. I know this as I asked the same question to the Chase ppl at the time.

Free night awards and SNAs are being extended. Anyone know about the Club upgrade awards on this card?
