This card is under 5/24. You can override 5/24 by having an in-branch (only! online prequalification does NOT override 5/24) pre-approval, or by already being Chase Private Client (as in you see the "Chase Private Client" text on the login screen of the Chase mobile app.)

Landing page with bonus offer (100,000 UR after spending $4,000 in 90 days) is now live:

https://creditcards.chase.com/credit...04&IS2F=Y71UH0

Application page: https://applynow.chase.com/FlexAppWe...L3P&PROMO=DF01

100,000 UR points is worth $1,000 as statement credit, $1,500 when used for travel through the Chase portal, or potentially more if transferred to a partner.

Card features are here:https://www.chase.com/card-benefits/...reserve/travel. The card's Priority Pass includes unlimited guests.

Schumer box on 8/15/2016:

The purchases made that you receive the $300 travel credit (or $85/$100 trusted traveler program credits) for do count towards the minimum spend, but the annual fee does not.

The card is made of the same material as the CSP, and is being shipped UPS Next Day Air Saver to everyone after production (currently (8/26) appears to have about a 3-day delay after approval before shipping.)

You are right, it won't disappear in a week. However, I am really hoping to take it on a European trip in 8 days, which would get me a long way towards the required spend.

I somewhat agree, but I want to apply today because I'm leaving my permanent address on Saturday for over a month so would like the card immediately. And some people just have large purchases coming up that they need to make.

Nope, it won't. Our household is in position for 3 apps: I am way over 5/24, my wife is a shoo-in and my college aged son is sketchy due to income. I will have 3 data points. I just want to get started to spread out the spend.

Has anybody tried to call and apply? Chase has no branches in VA where I live and I have quite a bit of expenses coming up which would take me to $4000 pretty quickly...I might give calling a shot today if I get some time....

I just don't follow why anyone cares about this, or any other questions about what is coded as "travel"; if you have any doubt about your ability to spend $300 on "travel" of some kind in a year (however it is defined) then this isn't the right card (or forum - FLYERtalk, after all) for you.

Same goes for the $4000 minimum spend; if you have any concern about hitting it, with or without the $300 reimbursement counting, this isn't the right card for you.
If somebody has trouble with this then you're right: this is absolutely the wrong card to keep. However, that doesn't mean it's the wrong card to get for one year and then downgrade to a Freedom/Freedom Unlimited.
