5x for first year at Grocery Stores. Capped at 12K in spend:
Key points:
- $200 (20K UR) sign up bonus
- Does not seem to be possible to generate referrals for this offer
It earns Ultimate Rewards points which may be redeemed for cash.
Freedom, Freedom Unlimited, Sapphire, Sapphire Preferred, all versions of Ink, JPM Select, JPM Palladium all earn Ultimate Rewards points. Ultimate Rewards points earned with any of these cards may be redeemed for cash at the rate 1 point = $0.01.
Chase markets Freedom, Unlimited, and Ink Cash as cash rewards, the others as points cards. The difference is in the marketing, not the rewards.
Travel and purchase protection benefits
Visa Signature
Visa Platinum
For general info, see Applying for Chase Credit Cards, 2017 onward.

Very targeted. I received it, but my SO who is under 5/24 didn't. Tried to use mine for her, but it wouldn't let me change the name in the application. There's no way this would let me bypass 5/24, right? $300 on $500 spend and have an Unlimited at 1.5% UR? Might give it a shot and hope it counts as a pre-approval!

This time it took Chase three years to imitate Discover:
Discover it Miles Credit Card Launched, 3x Miles On All Purchases 1st Year
You can probably "have" more than one by converting from another product, but you cannot obtain a second one by applying:
Discover it Miles Credit Card Launched, 3x Miles On All Purchases 1st Year
You can probably "have" more than one by converting from another product, but you cannot obtain a second one by applying:
This product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of this credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of this credit card who received a new cardmember bonus for this credit card within the last 24 months.

Generally speaking, the answer to that question is no. Much like how you can't convert from one product to another to obtain a sign-up bonus on the newer product - it requires a separate application.

I was super-excited for this, until I read that the normal $150 offer would not be stacked with this. That means you would have to spend $10,000 to "break even" with that offer. With the vast UR network, I've found my everyday spend to significantly plummet. Although, I can probably attribute a lot of that to the Freedom's generous categories so far this year. I'd have to crunch some numbers to see which would work the best.
All in all, this just seems like brilliant marketing. A 3% card on every purchase is unheard of. In the end, I wouldn't doubt that the average customer actually would earn less back than if they did the $150 offer.
