Existing card members can use "any hotel" certificates that were issued/will be issued prior to April 30th. Any Anniversary Night issued BEFORE May 1, 2018 is still valid at any IHG hotel worldwide.
Certificates issued AFTER May 1 will be under the new T & C's.
From Chase:
Here’s what’s changing

Here is the list of IHG hotels that will NO LONGER be available for certificate redemption: https://www.ihg.com/content/us/en/deals/partner-offers/anniversary-free-night?_PMID=99634986&cm_mmc=CJ-_-4453693-_-7718223-_-www.ihg.com%2Fcontent&glat=AFFI&setPMCookies=true& url=https://www.ihg.com/content/us/en/deals/partner-offers/anniversary-free-night

I'm trying to digest tha last 10 pages of posts but still not clear for my situation:
I've had a chase IHG free credit card for well over a decade, but I've rarely used it and don't think I ever got any kind of sign up bonus. Last year they relaced it with some new card (visa to MC or the other way around) but I still have only used the card once or twice in the past few years. So am I eligible to apply for the 80k bonus points card (with the annual fee and free annual night) or do I need to cancel the free card that I have, then wait a period of time, then apply to be eligible for the sign up bonus?

80k point offer finally showed up on my account today when making a dummy booking to Singapore. Cancelled the card almost two weeks ago.

What is the minimum CL for this card? I know it's usually $5k for all the Visa Signatures Chase offers.

Mine was initially at $2500.

No minimum CL. Plan accordingly if you are interested in other cards... no use having much CL tied up in this card in my opinion.
This card's $49 annual fee pays for itself with the free night certificate in my opinion and it is worth holding. The properties are often nothing to get excited about but there are a lot of very acceptable properties out there in the IHG network. San Francisco is a particular bright spot for IHG and it will get even brighter once Kimpton's program is integrated into IHG's program.

Chase has been giving me and many people I talk to about matching now. If you didn't originally applied for it they wont match. Chase is getting stingy and cheap

what do you mean by "didnt originally applied for it"? do you mean you have a better chance of getting a 80K match, if you have had the IHG card previously, and then cancelled later, and now reapplied again?
for me, this is going to be my first time applying and owning the IHG

In my case chase united. My original offer didn't include $100 statement credit. Asked for matching only a month later and chase refused it.
Same for Hyatt $50 statement credit. My original application didn't include it and when I asked they denied it.
Same thing for couple family members.
Couple years ago they were much more willing to match any better offer that came out after I applied. Marriott was one of them. Applied for a 50k bonus and a 70k came out soon after. They matched it all without a problem.
