No. Many here, including myself, have been successful calling recon after receiving a denial letter to ask why the AU accounts would have any bearing on the application. She can explain that she is not responsible for paying on those accounts and ask for reconsideration. Good luck!

Do you know a way to see further back than 16 months?

Hi All,
Did you guys here about the new Ink Plus offer? I think I'm going to try for it in branch (new offer is 70k points / $5k minimum spend and annual fee waived the first year). I had applied for it on 3/25, but was denied and my recon calls on 4/15 didn't help. But I'm going to apply with my other company that has more revenue. I have my doubts that I'll be approved, but I think it's worth a shot - hopefully better chances in the branch...

Don't know about a way to access older statements online but if you saved your statements every month in a designated folder without allowing them to archive and delete, you would have that info captured. We also used OneNote to screen shot and file until windows 10 update foiled that process. I've yet to find a workable solution without losing the old data, but at least the old stuff is there.

Surprising data point... Has this previously been reported, or is this a HUCA situation?
I was denied CSP initially for 5/24, but one of the 5 was an authorized user account.
Submitted for reconsideration with an agent who noted that I don't have responsibility for paying the authorized user account, but was STILL denied after reconsideration (received new letter in mail saying "we are unable to process your request based on the reasons provided on the previous letter sent in response to your original application."
When I called back in to ask what happened, the Lending Services agent indicated that it was due to multiple accounts opened in 2013 and 2014, before the 24-month recent period!

These reps have a roving commission to find any excuse to deny you. That's why it's better, whenever feasible, to let the automated system work its slow magic instead of calling.

This sounds like you were a so-so case from an underwriting standpoint. How long is your credit history? Do you know your FICO score?

I cancelled dh's Marriott card back in March and applied for another in early April. About a week later he received a letter stating he already had a Marriott card. They also didn't pull his credit. I waited until that billing cycle ended and applied again a few days ago (yeah I know should've waited a bit longer) and that app went pending. I logged in today and saw he was approved for both, yikes! Don't know how that happened. I emailed Chase asking about the bonus and app date for each one. Ugh, I guess now he won't be entitled to the bonus for either card.

Data Point(s) on Co-Branded
DW and I applied for the Chase British Air Card on 3/30 and both went to 30 days until 7 days on 4/22. denial letters received 4/26. Denial Letter on DW said "you have reached your maximum credit, call to reallocate".Mine did not
We both have 5 Chase cards and lowered our Ink cards by 10K each before application. Letting automated handle it did not work so called in to 888 245 0625
Chase rep reviewed and stated on mine I had 11 opened accounts in last 2 years so cant approve. I pointed out one was an AU and one from end April 2014 was about past 24 months so it was only 9 opened accounts. Did not budge. HUCA did not work - this agent told me I posed a risk as I was opening too many new accounts.DW called and asked about moving credit. Chase rep told her she opened 10 accounts in last 24 months and they cant approve. 1 was a AU and another 1 dropping April 2014, did nothing. HUCA again failed. So 4 chase reps denied us 2x. They also pulled credit a 2nd time.
Next day we called again, this time using the number on back of the denial letter. A nice agent approved both within 5 mins. We both had to reallocate.
What I learned is dramatically lowering, your total credit is key to instant approvals. In our case 10K was not enough, but would 15K? 20K? I likely will also avoid calling 888 245 0625 as well.

5/1 lowered credit lines on both cards significantly.
5/4 Approved instantly for both IHG and MPE. My 50k offer for the MPE expired today so decided to go for it.
